Too much snow?

Post » Mon Feb 08, 2010 7:43 am

Okay, I for one think Skyrim is the best possible place for the new elder scrolls game. But I have some thoughts that concern me, (in a stupid way)
I love how the snowy landscape looks, don't get me wrong, but i really love how warmer landscape looks and i'm really hoping there will at least be a small region of toasty, warm, fresh air!
I was just wondering if anyone knew of such a place in Skyrim, I know there is a slightly warmer area, but i want a nice warm spot. Thoughts and Opinions? :D

yeah if it's all just snowy fields it could get boring lol. but maybe there's seasons and it can get warmer? but probly there's different places and some of them aren't just plain snow everywhere.

Look at the screenshots and the trailer. There's more than one climate present in Skyrim. It's not just snow. You can bet that no province in all of Tamriel is just one type of area throughout the whole thing.

Good news, only about 30% of Skyrim is snow all the time. The rest is tundra, forests, canyons, and marshes. It will still snow, though. It's just won't be permanent in those locations.

Sadly Todd has already announced that there will be no seasons...

We get the next best thing, a zone for all seasons.

That's a little better, but looks like midwest fall weather. I'm thinking of an Anvil area climate in just like one place haha

Todd also said there will be different weather systems, and not all areas will be snow and cold.
I'm sure the further south you go, the warmer it will get, as in Oblivion.

Tough luck then, that's going to be the warmest area in the game. You best be hanging out near Riften.

Ok, if you want to get technical, everyone knows mountains are critical to weather systems, such as rain, snow, wind and such.
So in actuality one side of the mountain maybe snow, the other temperate, wet, warm....yada yada

that could be really cool like if you go over the mountains and find a hidden jungle. like in X-men there's the Savage Land it's a jungle in the South Pole.
