All of my characters carry around a pickaxe so that they can gather ore during their wanderings.

However, I've noticed there is a plethora of tools in the game - embalming tools, woodsman's axes, brooms, shovels, hammers and tongs. I've used the wood axe for chopping wood, but have found ZERO use for any of the other tools.

Am I missing something? Do those other tools matter?

The shovel is an especially mysterious one. Does it come into play when mining?

The other tools are just decoration, I believe.

those tools are used for the same thing all those instruments are used for...nothing

They never have before in the TES series.

Shovels have ZERO use.

Notice the pickaxe and woodsman axe are the only tools that can be used as weapons, too. It's really not that hard to understand.

even more reason to start. It doesnt make sense to be able to join the bards and be a bard who cant play an instrument...even a cheesy little riff would suffice.
