After the first there's really no specific order:

Final Fantasy IX

Final Fantasy VIII
Final Fantasy VII
Final Fantasy X
Chrono Trigger
Kingdom Hearts II
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
Mega Man X3
Lost Odyssey
Meta Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater

What can I say, Square had quite a streak going for a while there (dating back long before FFVII), and they still aren't doing too bad these days in my humble opinion. Probably be a much harder list to make if it were restricted to one game in a series or something like that. Lots of great games that didn't quite make the cut.

Some tough decisions there, and I'm sure I've forgotten more than a few games that are worthy of a place, but that's my list for now.

Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines
Knights of the Old Republic
KotOR 2: The Sith Lords
Rome: Total War
Morrowind
Warcraft 3
Jedi Knight 2: Jedi Outcast
Republic Commando
Mass Effect
Grand Theft Auto 3
Max Payne
The Witcher

That list is far from perfect, but its the ten favourites that came to my mind at the moment. Ask me tomorrow and you'll probably get a completely different list. The cursive ones will always be on it though.

Edit: I totally forgot about The Witcher, but I'm not sure which game to replace it with. Perhaps Mass Effect or KotOR 2.

Edit2: Forgot about Max Payne as well, that game is perfection. Mount and Blade: Warband could be in my top ten as well, but not today.

Here they are in no particular order:
  • Homeworld - 3D space RTS; ion cannons, super-capital class ships and salvage corvettes. This game had one of the BEST singleplayer campagains I've ever played. Fantastic sound track too.

  • TES III: Morrowind - Beth's greatest achievement, bringing cRPGs into huge popularity on both the PC and the Xbox. I spent countless hours exploring Vvardenfell. Expansions were a bit buggy but fun enough.

  • Dune II - Fantastically fun RTS by Westwood Studios. I was never really any good at this game but I loved building units, harvesting spice and plonking down buildings.

  • X-wing Alliance - Pretty much last of the LucasArts space-sim games. The fact that it was Star Wars probably sold it to me a lot more than it should have. Beautiful sounds track and a pretty engaging story, even if it fell flat towards the end.

  • Jane's USAF - Combat flight sim. I liked it because it was hard. Dodging missiles, flying below radar, machine gunning your foes...heaps of fun.

  • Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast - Star Wars themed FPS. Having played the original Dark Forces, this game introduced the 3D FPS into the Star Wars universe spectacularly. I had only played Yoda Stories before hand so this was a bit different!

  • Putt-Putt goes to the Parade - Childrens' puzzle game. I don't know why I enjoyed this game so much. Maybe I just like mowing lawns and making my car look pretty.

  • Operation Flashpoint - FPS combat-sim. More realistic than anything I had played to date. Aside from Basic Training, I don't think I finished a mission with less than 5 deaths. The damage models were a new to me and the sound of BMPs still give me nightmares. Never leave home without an RPG.

  • Europa Universalis III - Grand Strategy game by Paradox. Basically it takes your typical Civilization game and shoves it up a 25 degree learning curve by introducing a budget, army morale, supply problems, royal marriages, alliances, prestige and the full use of the world map.

  • Mount and Blade: Warband - First/Third person medieval combat. Everything from archers to cavalry, bows, lances and other exotic medieval weapons for you to choose from and a combat system unlike anything I've seen before. Being a bit of a history nut, it game really gets my juices going.
