A Topic About Feet

Post » Sun Dec 11, 2011 10:30 pm

Is anyone else slightly bothered by the fact that feet still look like masses of flesh and not like actual feet? I feel like it's actually gotten worse from game to game, and it's very puzzling. So much time and effort went into making the people of Skyrim look fantastic, and they do! The faces, the arms, the hands, all of them look great and realistic...except the feet. I mean, yeah, most characters wear shoes or boots or things like that, but there are also a few characters that don't, and a lot of players who don't, and, I don't know, maybe I'm just weird and I notice the feet of my character a lot, but it's just bothersome. There are luckily always mods to remedy things like this, but it's still puzzling. With all the detail that goes into the rest of the character, why are feet left out?

I'm sure that's some grade-A topical humor that I don't get, so har har, but as I said, it's not a fetish thing. Sometimes the look I'm going for with a character works best without shoes, like a raised-by-wolves type of character in Forsworn armor and the like. I pay attention to all parts of the body, and it just looks off to have one area so clearly unattended to.

To be frank, I have never looked at my character's feet closely. In fact, I've never even given them a second thought. So no, I've not noticed this.

Also, the Rex Ryan remark is an american football thing.

Skyrim isn't about great graphics... or fantasy for that matter... sure as hell isn't very creative while were at it... BUT there's a large amount of land scape and... DRAGONS!!!

I've seen worse so it's no bid deal.

I actually noticed this by chance while throwing dead bandits into a lake, the feet in the game look oddly terrible compared to the rest of the body.
