As for me, I refuse to take sides in this conflict until I know more about the two factions. Currently I have little knowledge of the two and choosing one without knowing their motives, future intentions, and their behaviour is an unwise decision.

I'm all for Titus Mede and the Empire.

And Titus Mede, the new warlord who kept the empire together, supposdly is related to Tiber Septim a little but, at least that's what I've been told.

So anyone in their right mind, would choose to keep what's left of the Empire together in order to fight off the evil of the Aldmeri Dominion.

Tiber Septim fought to unify all of Tamriel, I believe that Titus had a very different agenda on his mind, and fighting in an outlawed army is somewhat sketchy.

Ah I am a big Imperial fan but until I know the true causes of each side I cannot choose! In all honesty, I don't know which faction I'll side with yet. It really depends on which side the College of Winterhold supports ;D


Here's hoping that the College and Companions quests aren't mutually exclusive (companions attacking the college, or vice versa to piss one group off at another and making you choose sides). That could really hamper my plans for a battlemage playthrough! Although that would give me even more incentive to play through the game yet again...

Regardless of my personal indecision on the matter, I think it's awesome that we actually are going to be capturing a city; always nice to see our actions have an effect on the world we play in.

What if the steady crumbling of the once so powerful empire is a "message" from the Nine that Titus has enraged them by refuting the blessing of Talos/Akatosh as a Divine. In which case I would fight for the rebels. Them being the ones who still truly believe in the Nine. Not the Eight and one.

-OR-

What if out of anger for being expelled as a Divine, Akatosh (Alduin) decides to exact revenge on the whole of Tamriel. Coming to physical form as a dragon being made possible by Martins sacrificing himself so long ago and the prophecy of the civil war is the final step before some kind of returning of the God come to wipe out the non-believers for disgracing his kingdom he worked so hard to create.
