DX11 Only. CryEngine 3 does not support DX10, so Crysis 3 cannot anyways.

Getting rid of DirectX 9 is all well and good. Getting rid of DirectX 10, however, kinda makes it a poorly optimized hardware hog.

so is there any update from crytek regarding dx 10 ..or is it going to be solely dx 11 title ...
DX11 Only. CryEngine 3 does not support DX10, so Crysis 3 cannot anyways.
They can easily make it support DX10. The only problem is that they are lazy or paid by Nvidia!

Guys! its a BS! Crytek wanted make for Nvidia and for themselves a liittle advertisemant :
"We're the next gen games providers" or "we thinking and design games built on the newest technologies only, the best for you dear gamers"
What do i think of all this?
Dudes of Crytek: Go home, seriously, just please retire! Why? Because DX10 support still something we're needed! Most peoples can't afford buy themselves buy a new "dx11 only" graphic card start its price 200 dollar/euro and those "dx 11" cards so weak, so tiny capable, hardly can call it "gamer GPU" most gamer GPU start its price from 300-320 dollar/euro, and just for a 54 dollar prices game, its not worth to spent!
A Game not even close to the "next gen" quality, not deserved, not worked for rightfully for that title in any way, its just a self proclaimed word Crytek gaved, gives to himself just like they did claimed for Crysis 2, and warface!
Don't be fooled, if you're satisfied with the pc and its specifications you have right now, don't need to spent 200-300 or even 400 euro/dollar on other Graphic card just for a game claim its supremeness but yet, can't even match 2-3 year old games in graphic, functionally, and security of famous SP-MP FPS games, games running on Dx 10 still today!

They can easily make it support DX10. The only problem is that they are lazy or paid by Nvidia!
It's not as simple as that, major features of CryEngine would have to be rewritten to support DX10. On top of that, bug testing would take a while.
