Lovely!!!
I just adore that crystals, man. Me wants a house with walls like that ^ ^
Super cool!!

Hmm. I might throw something into the next resource pack for you. A crystal house or somesuch.

Because of the recent restructure of the scope (in years) of the story I have some gaps to fill in. This is an open brainstorm session I'll throw some facts your way and I'll write up my take on it. The more takes we have of this part, the better. People need variations, exagregations etc to talk about. Some people might see it as religiuous some might see it another way.

Facts(Without official canon explanation):
*Cosmos was created for some reason.
*At some point reality and dreams collapsed and became one.
Worldspanning amnesia followed.
*Structure of cosmos manifested in material and non material planes.
*Several non material planes governs aspects of the real world.
*Characters emerged destined to balance material and non material to form life.

The story I need to write is the story of these "Characters". The three leads originate from Hexagonica but they may take any form and any shape really. As long as they conform to these:
*One who believes that hard work is rewarded by results. The ends justify the means.
*One who believes that dreaming is the essence of creation.
*One who is the result of a dream come true; Manifesting itself in a material world.

Feel free to brainstorm about these if you wish. That's what I'm doing. You have the basic facts, ask away if you need to know something specific, however I might not answer if it's to important for the story.
Time to type some lores =)

Well since you asked..... :hubbahubba:

I think I told you about the dream I had quite a while ago about "Blue" ( blue alien looking guy,) The big burly ranger type guy (not sure if I had a name for him or not,) and the "FBI" or "men in black" looking guy. How Blue and the ranger guy were on some earthly type planet, couldn't remember how they got there, but for some reason knew they had to find each other. Some how the man in black character found Blue wandering around one of the major cities on this planet and knew where to find his ranger buddy. And then basically the story goes on with man in black taking Blue to find his buddy and leading them into a large building where the dream ends......

Anyway, I had another dream (and this dream was much more crazy (I only remember fragments)) a couple of months ago that took place on at least 2 different planes. First I started out in this medieval fantasy land. I was some sort of hero character I guess and I had to find a castle with some sort of relic. Upon reaching the castle, talking to some wizard looking fellow, and getting a sort of scroll from him I notice huge meteorites falling from the sky. I start running towards some mountain/cliffs off in the distance all the while a huge tidal wave is forming in the ocean behind me coming to finish off what the meteorites haven't destroyed already. As I reach the cliff top I turn around to see the entire land flooding and this tidal wave growing ever closer.

Just before the wave hits me I black out and come to in a world completely different. I am standing in what looks like a 19th century European town. The architecture, clothes, and the vibe feels as such. The only thing that sort of throws things off is when I come upon a shop where in the window I find a black and white television. At this point is where my dream becomes really fuzzy. I don't recall how long I was in this town or what or if i did anything signficant while there.

At some point I remember being in a sort of steampunk-ish type of dwelling or hang out surrounded by a bunch of kids (by kids i mean younger people around 18 to maybe 30 not children) dressed like.... well punks. :) As I am lounging around I see this girl sitting alone. She has shoulder length brown dreadlocks and bright blue eyes. I think she is beautiful of course so i go and talk with her. As we are talking all the kids get up and are announcing the arrivel of the queen or princess perhaps. All the kids start gathering towards the center forming a corridor of people like the cliche thing you see in movies and what not when royalty arrives. I stand up and join one of the lines sticking my head inward looking for who is arriving when I see the girl that I had just been talking to walking down this corridor of people. I later come to find out she is some sort of sorceress which why nobody made note of her presence prior to this. She appeared to me only for whatever reason..... At this point everybody is settled down and her and I are talking again and then things just sorta fade out.

Now this last bit is really nonclimactic, and gets a little silly.

I come to in another world or even perhaps the one I was in in the beginning. I am wandering around the land when i come upon this funny looking creature. It looked like a stuffed plush half cut watermelon with some sort of crazy design on the flat side. As I approach this funny looking critter it begins to charge and attack me. I defend myself and end up killing the poor fuzzy evil little critter. Upon looking at the corpse i notice a flap held to its body by velcro. I open the flap and find a sort of tablet and begin to read it as i am transported to this ethereal plane where i am standing before a large castle in what seems to be the clouds or somewhere with dense fog. As i am standing there i see a figure approaching. The figure appears to be the girl earlier however the dream ends before we make contact. :(

Basically i thought you could maybe use bits and pieces of these crazy stories in your mods story if you like. :)

Good luck. :foodndrink:

If it's not too important, may I ask, how about (if you already did) did you thought of those characters, I mean by appearance? Will they be completely inhuman, as in floating brain with tentacles (I'm caricaturing of course, by that I mean will it be something "mindbogglingly"), or will they be human, or partially humans or something? :P

Kinda silly question, but 1st that came to mind was hundreds of pictures of how they might look :D

I honestly don't see this religiously at all tho  But if those 3 creators are to be humans I could easily see one of them leaning to that side.

I have close to no thing set in stone for this period of the story. Their shape and form is pretty interchangable, they are usually what is left after each new cycle of the cosmos. I do know however their shape and form in current time.

Last cycle 'something' (sorry but I can't say what) divided and eventually gave it's 'powers' to three humanoids. They then proceeded to start a new cycle of cocmos which changed everything.

Their form at this point could be almost anything. Supposing they kept their character intact just not their memories then they would probably use that. One if very strict and absolute another is brave and gentle but a bit foolish the last one is dreamy and not really present yet always at conflict with his creation.

---

It's so weird to speak like this. haha. Hexagonica sure is a wicked backstory.

The general idea is that these characters transcent time and space and appear in many forms. To quote hexagonica lore "They were never created so they will always be"

---

From my personal standpoint. Without actually applying my knowledge about the story and what it's really about. I think that what these characters really want is to die the final death. To cease to exist so that there will never be any more conflicts. But what happens with everyone in between? Should the characters not take responsebility for something they did in their earlier life? Things they don't even remember...

I love to talk Hexagonica.. its' all so philosophical.

Speaking of Hesagonica, from an existentialistic standpoint the concept is racism.

"What does existentialism mean when mental and physical manipulation share reality equally?
What is the act of hating the other? somnist vs physicalist?"

I did make up both of the terms "somnist" and "physicalist" yet "physicalist" actually existed and it works very well! No explanation needed.

If you conceptualise these world views, then the basic conflict in Hexagonica and the basic conflict of cosmos becomes clear.

Filling in with some more Hexagonica locations that you may or may not be visiting. You will probably hear about it referenced in lore later:

Drama, a shard of the plane Elysium.
People oft dream of visiting Drama, some people actually do. It is a place where visitors may relax but it's also threads upon the matter of conflict.
Planespanning tearfilled lakes, constant beutiful sunsets and never ending night with full moons. Yes; it's indeed possible that drama lies on the outer rim of Contradiction.

In contradiction to it's beuty there is also horrors. Lost love and lingering dark secrets help paint the skies and the city scapes in drab and dramatic colors.
It's a vacation for the already lucky but to some a devesting wake up call. It's a catalyst for the mind for either the Physicalist or the Somnists.

Such fascinating lore you've come up with C_Mireneye! For some reason it reminds me of my Humanities course... dreams and reality.

A beautiful world with a beautiful story. Quite a combination!

I'm finnaly kicking back into gear again I think. My artistic nerve is getting a bit itchy. My fluctuating inspiration and will to work on things comes every so often. But they do leave me after a while so void of the initial urge to create that it's scary. At least I will be around home for the coming months so I will have far less distractions.

I can certainly relate to that, I have to really be inspired by something to start up again. Though I can't relate as much with the modelling creativity :)

Can't wait to see where your newfound creativity leads you!

This is hardly anything worth showing imo. Setting up my new laptop for art so I have something to show, nothing special just a very rough WIP:

I have no recollection of that. What picture was it? Thank you =) It's mostly just medievallyish inspired with a twist.

Much updated render:

With this new laptop I can do most things I can do with my stationary so work will be much more streamlines. Wonder if I can hook em all up to use shared processing. hmm.

A new special evil crystal and some other goodies, included is also a by now outdated version of my tortured mage head. Yup, I've just been trough all the new stuff, really wonderful. Thank you Mireneye! Any chance you'll have some buildings made into a tile set for city building made from those in the valley city mesh? I'd love to get something like that in my hands :D

Chances are highly possible! I will also fix up many of the placeholder meshes in there eventually.

Well.. the structures took me maybe an hour to pack together. in another 30 minutes I could prolly divide them. It wouldn't make much sense tho since they are only placeholders for more detailed meshes. It's easy to make a city/iterate like that. It's something I learned while I was making my game. You begin with really basic structures and then replace as you go. It gives you a really nice way to see how things work and overall look before you pour hours into details.
