X6-88

Anyone else feel like X6-88 is underrated as a companion? To be honest, I think he's one of the best. And while I started off with Piper, Curie, Cait, Codsworth etc. I find myself just using X6 exclusively as my choice of backup now. For a number of reasons:

-His default equipment is excellent. Courser Uniform with Institute Rifle? I basically don't need to equip him with anything else. He can handle most situations with no additional armaments.

-He doesn't [censored] and moan when I steal or *gasp* dare to use violence to solve a problem. Or god forbid drop something on the ground (Codsworth).

-The guy is loyal to a T. And is personally devoted to the protection of myself and my family (Shaun). I like some of the comments he makes to your new companion when you dismiss him in favor of someone else "If any harm at all comes to this man, I'll hold you personally accountable." (something like that)

-He's incredibly easy to keep and gain favor with if you side with The Institute (which if you have him for a companion, presumably you are). Hell just getting in your power armor gives you favor.

-A small touch, but he gives out random amounts of fusion cells as "gifts." Which I find more useful than most of the other junk other companions give me.

-While yes his personality is a bit dryer than other companions, its also interesting to see bits and pieces of his 'humanity' (for lack of a better term) coming out every so often. Especially when you get to full affinity and he gives his little heartfelt speech. His dryer personality also has a plus though in that it seems to result in less annoying comments.

I'm pretty sure he's my favorite companion in the game at this point. Anyone else feel the same way?

I keep shooting Shaun. I will have to wait for the little [censored] to die naturally once and find out.

I had him join me for a mission for the Institute, but I can't actually have him join me ... at least I don't think I can ... to be honest I have no idea where he hangs out.

I thought he was pretty powerful, but hated that he would not go into sneak mode. I'd be sneaking around and he'd just be standing there alerting all the raiders I was trying to snipe. Stupid Synth.

He's hanging around the entrance to Libertalia (that little sandbar where you first meet him). That's where you can recruit him as a companion.

Yeah, but to be honest that's every companion without fail.

All of them are terrible at sneaking and more often than not blow my cover. Piper seems to be the worst for this, but that's just my personal experience.

Never had an issue with Piper sneaking and I use her 90% of the time with my current character. I swear I think her back must be hurting as much as I have her bent over all the time. But X6-88 would just stand there. I don't think I ever saw him actually go into sneak mode. Maybe they hadn't programmed him as to how to do it yet. Next gen maybe.

Maybe it was just the Libertalia mission (its been awhile since I did that).

His sneaking ability in normal companion mode isn't really any better or worse than any other companion I've found.
