I think it will be awesome and a great tool to traverse the map. What makes you think it will be a pain?

It's basically fully automated. How could that be a pain the butt?

because in one of the brink videos one of the producers i think the overweight one said some of the moves wont be automatically done like wall hopping and if you hold down the sprint button to do it i think to me it will take a little while to get used to it since i play like COD

Well yes. Only lights can wall hop and really it isn't that hard to press the jump button towards a wall. As far as going over or under holding down SMART will likely be sufficient.

I plan to use it manually myself.

They have a tutorial, and will be offering a SMART based challenge to help ya learn the ropes pretty quickly. If its a mixture of Assassin's Creed (mostly 1 button hold) and Mirror's Edge (timed button mashes) it should be simple to grasp

Not the best choice of words....

But i still think the SMART system will be fine.

Something new to venture upon

I dont think i will be using smart too much. The idea of having to aim down to have my character slide, then aim back up to shoot, well that just seems counter productive. I think i would rather manually slide and aim up at the same time, although it seems like its going to require practice.

then again, if smart is activated with a single button i could see myself just repeatedly toggling on and off.

The SMART and sprint are the same button. Press for toggle sprint and hold for SMART.

I do NOT like the sound of that. sounds very uncomfortable. but there is custom mapping right? hopefully i can set smart and sprint to 2 different buttons, although it seems unlikely.

There is custom mapping but I am not sure about seperating the SMART/Sprint button.

Well, if they do it like im thinking maybe its not so bad. Lets assume sprint is toggle activated. click it once its on, click it again its off. Not like CoD where you hold it to activate it. If it i toggle in Brink the you could just hold it for whenever you want to use smart and just always keep sprint on. Which begs the question, is sprint infinite? I hope so. On a side note, I wish the slide feature has its own button, or maybe something like pressing crouch while running will cause you to slide.

Infinite sprint. Sliding is sprint plus crouch.
