haha, well if its as annoying as the horrible shade of blue that was known as night eye in oblivion no thanks
How would you have it, then? Light as in "http://img816.imageshack.us/img816/5651/oblivion201006110755294.jpg"?
That blue shade made you feel like a predator. The only color that could've been cooler is red, but that would've been to sci-fi. Now you feel like a magical predator.
Nice poll
Anyway...
I wouldn't want it to be pitch black (or relatively close to it) at night (whether it's moonless or not) because:
- It's very very tiresome for the eyes.
- I personally want to enjoy the landscape, even at night. Only seeing a few feet in front of me with a torch or spell is not enjoying the landscape according to me.
- If you don't have a torch or haven't learned a spell (and are in a fight so you can't rest), how will you manage to see?
It may be realistic, but because of the above reasons, I wouldn't want nights almost completely dark. However, I would definitely want them to be darker than Oblivion's, but not as dark as some people say in this thread.
Dungeons can be darker than outside at nights though. They should be. The closed spaces make torches especially useful there. Still... not pitch-black, definitely not. But still definitely a lot darker than Oblivion's dungeons.
Agree. While it should be darker, it would be annoying if it was too dark. But I would be happy if Skyrim is darker than OB, since torches, light and night eye didn't really have a point if you're not searching for something small in the dark, or have the sun shining in your eyes behind your monitor.
