Not that this is a shot of the landscape of Skyrim, I managed to snag a promotional poster picture of one of the shadier businesses from one of my, uh, sources.

Enjoy.

Hmmm, close but no cigar :shifty:

http://www.majhost.com/gallery/Yali/Tamriel/elderscrollsvshadowsofsfx1.jpg is the real deal.

Apparently its a leaked screenshot from earlier in development. Search Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim in google images and it'll be first to pop up in.

I almost posted a similar picture, but didn't. I don't want people to get the idea that Skyrim is cooooold.

I really, really doubt that. I'm fairly certain that, that is a regular picture, you'd have to be fairly gullible to fully believe that it real. Someone probably took a photo or took it off the web and messed with the saturation and contrast until it looked kind of game-ish.

It doesn't look real. I know CGI when I see it. It looks real at first glance, but upon further inspection I can see the unnaturaleness of it. To begin, look at the sky. The water is also too clean and too shiny, and while the rocks and mountains look nearly photoreal, once again, they don't have nearly as much grit you'd expect from a photo. One other example: look at the rocks in the foreground, then look at the textures on those rocks. Too clean, too angular. Sorry, not real. Its either CGI or astonishingly good photoshop, but I highly doubt that. And please, don't call me gullible. That hurts man.

As I said, it looks like someone took it and messed with the saturation, contrast, blur and various other effects to give it a smoother, more CGI appearance. If it is a game, it is probably not Skyrim.

Hmmm, could be. Personally I think it looks CGI, however probably closer to NextGen quality. Remember when Oblivion came out how it totally shocked everyone with its graphics, it might be the same thing. Although, I guess there's no substantial proof, so we'll have to wait and see.

sorry I'm flaking out on this source
I swear to god there was a thread full of concrete evidence and convincing arguments that it's fake
but, also, keep in mind that skyrim and oblivion will be running on the same machine, so skyrim's graphics can't simply be upgraded, they can only be optimized. You won't see any drastic difference between the games, like that picture would lead on.
As well as the fact that even the NAME of the game was kept secret until the VGAs. A leaked screenshot would be pretty astounding considering we weren't even sure what it was called.

Where exactly did you find this supposed leaked screenshot? Show us your sources and we will gladly debunk them.
