So, a lot of people have expressed interest in another tournament near the ending of eFPS tournament. I had a pretty cool idea that was inspired by a Call of Duty Tournament a long time ago with a little bit of a twist.

I was thinking that each team would have a minimum buy-in: either as small as 10$/team, or as large as 10$/player. The team would be enrolled with their clan/team name and would also be linked to a charity of their choosing. 1st place would receive 80% of the prize pool to donate to their charity, and 20% would go to the 2nd place team for their charity. A cool little name I thought up would be: "Real World Crysis" ...get it?

What do you guys think of this idea?

Also, for the sake of simplicity, I was thinking we could use the eFPS site again (I need to ask dallas), just because a lot of teams are already enrolled in it, and it's really convenient to report matches.

What do you mean: "top 20 might get a lot of action." ?

If it was BEST 3 CRYSIS 2 PLAYERS IN THE WORLD, many might not enter because they know they'll never beat SDub , But if the top 20 were to have their name in lights in some form at the end of it all, a lot of otherwise forum observers might be tempted to train up and enter! This would mean more folks on the servers, solo players helping entrants train, heavy non clan participation, etc. kind of exciting really, but hard to admin?

I would love to spectate an 8 player FFA on Cityhall where the top 4 players go through to the next round. By standing up on the glitch spot overlooking the gameplay.

It would make for unique videos, you could edit multi-cameras like TV sports. Somebody on "DSG-1 cam" for that close up action...

IA is way to random and luck driven to have anyone be consistently good at it. I don't think I'd be good cause I svck at using a shotgun with stealth, which is where it's at for IA. Sounds like an interesting idea, might give it a shot, we'll let this thread sit a little!
