Tracking down dirty LOD meshes

Arthmoor gave me some help in his Alternative Beginnings thread, but that's not the place for me to continue to seek advice so I'm starting this thread. Basically, I am getting a very small amount of yellow objects that appear at certain angles. According to to Arthmoor this is likely due to 1 or more dirty LOD meshes from one of the mods I'm using. I currently use RAEVWD, but apparently those files are clean so they're not the problem.

My question is, where should I look for the dirty mesh? Am I looking for a _far.nif in a meshes folder or should I look for a landscape LOD (one with all the numbers)? Beyond that, how can I test which meshes are dirty? Is there some program that lets you evaluate individual nifs or will I simply have to uninstall a mod, run tes4lodgen, and see if the problem goes away to identify which mod is introducing the dirty mesh?
