So I'm doing the Tradecraft quest with Deacon (with the Railroad) and trying to retrieve the prototype under the donut shop. I've killed every synth in this place but I'm stuck at the part where I'm actually trying to get to the prototype. I'm in the Department X R&D room where the inaccessible terminal and the vault door are, and Deacon will not follow me in there to unlock it. He's just in the hallway leading to the room and will not freaking move. I'm so frustrated I even tried going out to the Commonwealth and killed all the synths in the front of the shop to see if that could give me another route and nothing is working. Can anyone help me? I'm assuming this is a glitch and not just me missing something...

I ended up just loading an earlier save and had to redo some stuff but oh well I guess. He ran right in there this time after everything was dead so I guess it all worked out

Has anyone have an issue with it crashing when trying to meet up with the tourist on the overpass? It keeps crashing when I get close to him.
