I recruited Trader Rylee for The Castle settlement, but it was a buggy and laborious process.

I had to chase her outside immediately and it took the dialogue sequence at least two attempts, maybe three to get her to go to the Castle.

And now that she is there plus assigned to a trading emporium, she is still giving the recruitment dialogue.

The first attempt failed because I spoke to the Cannery owner, granting the mission Spoiled Meat.

I went outside after completing the mission and Trader Rylee was not present.

I recalled her with console commands and her dialogue is broken, you can't discuss anything.

If you are successful in recruiting Trader Rylee, the cannery owner bugs out, his dialogue chain about Spoiled Meat becomes invalidated, all he does is spout random phrases about his produce.

The option to ask about the meat is bugged, the arrow is present, but the dialogue text line is completely absent.

You can still get the quest for the meat by simply going into the basment via the lift(that will autostart the quest and fix your problem).
