Trailer vs. Screenshots

Post » Wed Dec 01, 2010 5:36 pm

If indeed you are taking about the trailer segment , at 1:42, when enemies appear black blotches with no detail, no definition, no nuances, almost like cardboard 2D sprites, them i assume comics regulate your standards.

If you believe that is how bodies should appear under those lighting conditions, if you think that's not only belieable but commedable, them i'm affraid there is no common ground.

English words just bear diferent meanings to us.

I don't want my games to look like Crysis. You know...uninspiring and unoriginal. I can look outside for that.

I think he's just saying that considering you're casting that fire spell, the draugrs should be lit up more. In the screenshot you can see they are very well lit from just the lighting in the room. And look at how bright that spell makes your hands.

You think blackned overshadowed barely distinguishable blotches is a pretty original move, hey?

It's beyond me and i don't even care to try.
Fine. Suit yourself.

"Barely distinguishable"? Come on man. I could tell what they are just fine. "Blotches"? Really?

The only odd thing about the Draugrs there is that the one to the left is so black, yet he is under a sunlit area.

Anyway, look at the http://i.imgur.com/oOK6u.jpg (left one) again. Notice moss and roots on the stone-walls to the left? And the snow blowing off the stone? That's what I call awesome :)

The only ones that are the same are the cave, dragon and ice wraiths that you compared. The rest are different places with the same creatures, which isn't a stretch of the imagination to think you would run into multiple times in the game.

Who cares, everything we've seen so far is from the glorious dark age of Xbox, I expect a mark up once we see PC footage.
