Train tunnel near Boomer area.

Post » Fri Jan 29, 2010 1:34 pm

There's a single room in the train tunnel with just two entrances located near the Boomer base, when I try to get in that room, there's a bug just before the door in which you fall down the world to only reappear back to the entrance which makes it impossible to enter such room.
Any ideas?.

I was there not too long ago, and that didn't happen (with PC version). Sounds like some sort of clipping bug to me.

If you play on PC, you can use console command "TCL" to move trough the dropzone (:P) unaffected. (Use the same command to disable it, achievements are disabled until you restart the game).

If you play on console, maybe you could try jumping over it?

There's no way to jump the "hole" or get around it, not only falldown the world but objects too.

I ran into that bug as well (on xbox), knew something was up when I noticed the tin cans bobbing up and down like they're on water....

Xbox too. Good thing that there wasn't anything you need in there.

My advice, don't enter the room and keep running to the end of the train tunnel.

Oh, so that's why no one ever comes back from that tunnel. The guy that bets you 300 caps to go to Nellis says "You could also try an old tunnel nearby, but I don't know if it's safe because no one has ever come back from it."

X2

It's a good game marred by its lack of polish and debugging.

Wow. A bug on an out of the way room that has nothing quest related, or even worth having, and its a train wreck?
Harsh

Yes, I know it stinks. I found it too and was unhappy but then I realized that there are thousands of doorways that work just fine so in the end the percentage of win is high.
This one was discovered early so you can be pretty sure that it will be on an early patch. (and it was confirmed as a room devoid of valuable items by a PC user via the G.E.C.K.)

Deep breaths everyone.

Brightly colored text was a bit much, IMHO. I'm just sayin...
