Training Clothes

Ok, so the only character I ever RP's was basically a guy I based of DBZ.

He was hand to hand, and was known to throw off any armour he had to increase his speed. (Piccolo :whistling: )

Even though it kind of worked, it was just for RP.

But I Iike the idea of armour/clothes that decrease speed/power signifigantly, but also raise how fast you level in these areas. This is a technuiqe that has been used in combat forever, and would be a cool edition to Skyrim. Even if it has to be modded in, or put in the next one.

Also, shout out to character models. Excellent.

I find the notion of a bunch of bandits running up to me and suddenly stripping down into their skivvies to punch me in the face a bit awkward, don't you?

Or screaming incoherently while straining like they're constipated.

Or cracking cheesy jokes/remarks.

Or just standing there while you plummet one of their own to death.

DBZ in spanish was not as cheesy as the american version. Watching it in english really made me want to change the channel most of the time. (horrible cheesy jokes) The spanish version seemed more serious at times. Back to the topic, yeah i would think that it makes sense cuz i know that the romans and probably other cultures used to make their soldiers run around fully armored.

Eh, what you are saying is that the "armor" skills / strength should go up by wearing heavy armor? That already is the case in the previous. No extra training clothes needed (and I'm relatively sure there rarely were such things, I can't see it fit a nordic setting at all).

However, with Bethesda taking out attributes (I'm still ROFL'ing at the thought), and possible the armor skills as well, there'll probably only be perks left. Which, I assume, don't really depend on how much armor you wear.
I mean, why go with a smooth, realistic levelling system that made the series unique when you can have perks like everyone else?

wouldnt it make more sense to fight naked? that what the Germanic tribes did, also if we are taking stuff from DBZ then ill just let my character grow his hair out until it is down to the floor, he will be unstoppable then

No, what he wants is for the ability to basically make a character who doesn't use armour, use armour. That way, he'll be better without it. When you get used to fighting with the added weight of armour, fighting with it seems like nothing. So wearing armour would make you stronger faster, in that sense you were right. But he wants to be able to replace his heavy gear with light clothing so that his character can move faster, and hit harder than if he was a walking tank.

BTW I do actually like the idea, for role playing mostly.

Stripping down should make your power level "OVER 9000!!!!!"

But really, nothing even remotely related to DBZ should be in Skyrim...or any form of media actually.

I find the fact that you wrote 'skivvies' a bit awkward.

DBZ? Sounds like you are talking about RP-ing your favorite hip-hop artist.

I really don't want Skyrim to take their ideas from DBZ or any other anime for that matter. They have a reputation for not making sense.

Exactly. The last thing I need in a TES game are 20-minute stand-still battles where everyone's stripping down so they can be more agile when they finally decide to start a cosmic battle that will cause more seizures than degrees of excitement.

I dont think this will work in Skyrim. In the past, with the brokenn mechanics its always had, it was easy to become this Goku type power puncher, because you could train yourself to run very fast and backwards. I think the devs are sort of pushing to not "play around" as much and just do what you are supposed to do: which is master the given skills and stop exploiting faulty mechanics.
