Traitors and public executions.

I think it would have been quite thrilling to have far more public executions in Skyrim. It would have helped players to take the war more seriously.

I would have liked to see Ulfric Stormcloak walking down the steps from the Palace of Kings with an executioner beside him, ready to officially pass the death sentence on to a traitor.

Would you have liked the same thing? If so, in which ways would you have liked for the executions to have been carried out?

Heck yeah, this would have been awesome. Regular executions for hard criminals in all of the cities would be a nice touch.

at least with ulferic, *bleep* no. he was too dangerous. they already tried to execeute him publicly once, and look what happened. Only an idiot would try that again, better to kill him in combat and get it over with. Generally though, who else would be executed? Everyone who fights you fights to the death or would be WAY too dangerous to not kill the moment it was possible, there are no times where the guards capture somebody after you have beaten them and there are no common criminals in area's other than riften, where the guards are as much as criminals as they are.

Only person in Skyrim that deserves to be executed is Maven Black Briar.

For there to be public executions that mean something, there would have to be some kind of system of Justice. Otherwise, it's just like Robespierre after the French Revolution, meaningless death to support a terror campaign.

Absolutely. I would have welcomed a system of justice in Skyrim.

That would have helped put the issue of the Civil War in the players face, but those quest-lines needed a lot more work and choices to be good, or people would still just avoid them. Course this can be said about most Skyrim factions.
