Trampling the player

If I wanted to have, say, a mammoth trample the player, any ideas how I would go about it? I'm entertaining the possibility of using TranslateTo and forcing the movement animations to play, but that's so clunky-looking. Is there any way to make the AI not avoid or stop at the player's position, but instead steamroll right over you without slowing down?
