Your saves are in a folder in the MW root directory. Just copy and paste or drag and drop into a usb thumb drive or if you have a LAN, move it to a shared file.

But if your saves are using mods, then make sure the other computer has the same mods too. Otherwise you'll be in a world of hit. Or use Wrye Mash

Which folder are they in?

I am transferring save files from my desktop (Windows 7) to my new laptop (also Windows 7).

I cannot find them anywhere. If I do a search for *.ess files I can only find my Oblivion ones.

I know what the save files are called because I can view them using the Morrowind launcher and going to the datafiles option - but I cannot find them using the search in windows.

I am wondering if I need to copy the whole ESM file to my new PC, seems a bit drastic though.

ANy ideas?

Run the game as Admin, or change install location to by-pass all these weird Vista/W7 problems.
