Transfer progress from PS4 to PC?

Post » Mon Dec 07, 2015 2:04 pm

I own a PS4 and PC, and depending on whether somebody else is hogging the TV, I may want to play Fallout 4 on the PC, and other times on the PS4. Will it be possible to actually move my character between platforms somehow and continue progress on both places?

I doubt Sony would allow it.

If you mean by using USB, might be possible. We'll have to wait till release to find out.

That's interesting I never thought of that, but Sony can be funny with things like this

I doubt it. Saves are different coding.

Bethesda is...weird...with that stuff. I don't know about PS3/PS4, but Bethesda has a history with making stuff for 360 compatible with PC. Like, absurdly so. However, it's a bit of a process, and I think it's technically against the forum rules to discuss it. It's always been sort of a grey area on here.

There will probably be a third party tool for this, people made them for oblivion and skyrim.

Honestly, while it is possible using third party tools, I suspect it's something that you wouldn't want to be doing too often due to the high risk of corruption from converting the save multiple times.

But I sincerely doubt there'd be an official method either.

I know with Skyrim it was possible, although a few steps were involved and technical your not supposed to do such things due to copyright laws....

It might be possible if there is a save to cloud option.

It would be cool if Bethesda.net covered the save transfer.

so officially I doubt Sony would allow it.

unofficially possible but each console handles saves in different matter so would prob need third party tools even then running huge risk that it will work consoles saves like too be hard coded to profile that created them thats why people created rehash/resign tools. i own both i wouldn't bother risk is too great on so many levels.

Not to ask the question but to talk about doing it in a way that is not officially supported by Bethesda, Microsoft, or Sony. To do so means you'd be breaking some LUA law.
