Transformations in Fallout?

Post » Fri May 24, 2013 6:45 am

Ok I've been thinking for awhile now and I just have to ask you guys would any of you like to see transformations or creatures that your characters can become in fallout like how in Skyrim you could be a Vampire/Vampire Lord or a Werewolf am I the only one who would love to see that in a Fallout Game. I'm not saying they should just make up some bull crap like zombies or something maybe they could get something from the lore and improve upon it. I had 3 ideas in mind Aliens, Mutants, or Cyborgs.

I know what you're thinking "how could you become a freaking alien that's stupid" well what I mean by alien is that what if your character could find a mad man who has researched Aliens all his life and has finally come across one and has obtained some of its DNA and wants to duplicate the abilities of the alien that he discovered and he may be able to add the DNA of this Alien with some of a human but does not want to risk his safety in order to do so, So he must find a suitable test subject to preform the experiment on and that's were your character comes in. So not much of an Alien more like a hybrid I don't know I'm just spit balling ideas. I want to know your honest opinion. Should their be transformations or anything of the sort in a Fallout game if so why and what benefits do you think it would or should have? If you don't think so, why?

If done right, I could live with it. I mean, alien or ghoul I can see but a mutant may be really clunky (Skyrim's werewolf is clunky enough). You kinda are a cyborg in New Vegas if you go through with the medical clinic outside the Vegas area, or the OWB dlc. Cosmetically, however, I am ok with that :)

Aliens aren't canon, so uhm... No.

As to mutant, what type of mutant are we talking about here?

And finally, we can become a cyborg through implants and perks. (Though adding visible effects to your character would be a nice touch)

Aliens are... semi-canon, despite what the older circles of fandom wishes. Seen in FO3, and optional encounters in FO and FO:NV. FO2 has two technolgies implied to be of alien in origin: Bio Med Gel and Skynet.

But even though I do favor aliens as semi-Fallouty, I'd be against transformation into one. Too "out there," even for Fallout.

Ghoul? Sure. Super Mutant? Yep. Robobrain? Maybe. Cyborg- sure.
