Transparent windows help (PC - Windows 8.1)

Post » Sat Sep 06, 2014 2:07 pm

I need some help trying to figure out how to set-up windows to be transparent in the top part. (You know, the part which matches the color of your theme). I would like to be able to see through those parts so it isn't just one big block of one color at the to all the time.

And this is on Windows 8.1. (I'm not fully use to W8.1 yet).

I think that that's part of the theme. You should be able increase the transparency of the theme entirely. On Windows 7 the page that allows you to control it is called window glass colors and can be accessed via the start menu. Try looking for something like that. Maybe they changed it a bit, giving you more options, but I doubt it.

Just FYI, you can install third-party themes if you get bored of the default Windows themes. Check out this site: http://www.deviantart.com/customization/skins/windows8/visualstyles8/ if you're interested. You'll also need a theme patcher, but there's probably one, or a link to one, within one of the folders of the more popular themes.

They are some utilities you can do that, but for now i wouldn't do that.

I tried some of those out myself, as i own windows 8.1, but they don't working as intended.

Which utilities are you referring to?
