Transport

Post » Thu May 12, 2011 4:12 pm

There should be a more varied mods of transport (not just fast travel and horses). Sitting in a carriage, or on the back of a wagon watching the country side slowly go by would be fun. Sitting on a large bird or a dragon and seeing the land flyby below would be epic. What do you want? Sorry if this has already been posted.

I didn't vote because you didn't include bicycle. Have you ever tried to ride a bike on ice? Hours of fun.

I'd like all of them except for Oblivion-style fast travel, flying mounts, and the Silt Strider. I don't know if Silt Striders can survive in Skyrim's climate.

Have they confirmed it will be exactly like Oblivion (I've not read the GI article, since I'm in the UK)? If not, fAst travel could still be in the game, but be more like Morrowind, with Mage Guild transport, a Skyrim version of the Silt Strider, etc.

I'll take mounts, flying mounts, and Oblivion style fast-travel, but if I could only choose one, I'd take Oblivion style fast-travel.

Do we really need the 50th fast travel opinion thread of the last 24 hours?

Right, fast-travel is confirmed, but we can still hope for some other systems, and in the end this poll could help modders decide what to add later if there isn't anything.

That sounds more painful than fun...

There is an option called "other", and it is there for a reason.

With all of those other modes anyone who would choose Oblivion's fast travel system is crazy. I voted for everything except Oblivion

I voted all but wagons/carriages. I don't know why I skipped that one. But I think all of those would be wonderful choices.

Especially flying mounts. Orrrr at least different mounts than just horses. They should also add a teleport option to certain houses you can own, a portal that will take you somewhere either, you can't fast travel or you can't get there any other way.

I never really cared for the Oblivion fast travel system and often do not use it but my wife started playing Oblivion and loves it since she gets board of taking 20 minutes to walk to a dungion and would prefer to jump streight there. if fast travel will get more people playing the game and thus give Bethesda more money to make the game better and continue to make the series then I am all for it being included but personally I will use he other forms of travel as much as possible

If by Nordic take on the silt strider you mean a mammoth with a house in its back then I'm in :celebration:

Would be nice to see some sort of Mage's Skyship, there was a crashed one in Solstheim, the Sload use them apparently, it could happen...

I voted for them all. Options are a good thing!

Oblivion style fast travel is otherwise known as automated walking/riding.
