Do traveling bards make a good Dragonborn?

Ya think?

I'm wondering because I got a character idea. Because I'm now able to use mods, I figured I could now make my characters set up camps and play instruments. For some reason that made me really excited to make a Nord bard. (I'll explain the Nord thing later on.)

Anyway, I'm not really gonna play the class of a bard, but the RP idea behind it. (Skill wise she's more of a light armoured swordswoman and huntress)

Travel the land, perform music in taverns and in the wilds for meditation etc. After all, I kind of want to use Neopaganism as influence for this character.

The reason why I want to make her a Nord is because of their religion. Bards seem to have a thing for beauty, and Dibella is the type of goddess who is often revered by artists. (We got amulets of Dibella that look perfect for this kind of character. :D) In the Nordic pantheon, Dibella is present, but at the same time you got gods such as Kyne and Shor. If we look even further and deeper you'll get their worship of animal totems such as the Wolf and the Bear. This all is pretty much perfect for a Pagan inspired character. Ofcourse, the Nords in Skyrim seem rather Imperialized from time to time, but that only makes her stand out more.

Anyway, would such a character make a good dragonborn? I kind of imagine a dragonborn to be this epic and rather godlike figure. I fear that turning my bard into a demigod who can ride freaking dragons would be a bit too overwhelming. At the same time, the main questline is a perfect opportunity to explore Norse culture.

So, what do you think?

This concept reminds me of http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/V%C3%A4in%C3%A4m%C3%B6inen, who I based my main character from.

Anyway, travelling bards are awesome. It's also a plus that the LDB is an exceptional tongue.

Aside from the old man part, that's pretty damn close, yeah.

I imagined my character to be this pale lady with brown eyes and red dreadlocks. (From a hair mod)

You know, kind of this Neo-Celtic inspired appearance.

You make a good point about the latter, the LDB allows my character to do things the bard way. The Thu'um definitely adds some flavour to a bard.

Edit: Now that I think about it, perhaps I should make her an alchemist aswell, for RP purposes.

You can also consider installing a mod that makes the Thu'um into a more viable ability.

Or do what I do and use this CC: player.setav shoutrecoverymult 0

Nah, I'm fine with the way it is.

My bard's more of a bard in RP. Skillwise, I'd imagine her to be a swordswoman with a bow or whatever. And perhaps use alchemy for the Pagan touch, though I probably won't add alchemy. The music, battle and hunt seem good enough already.

Oddly enough, most of my characters look rather similar to eachother. Hasn't been the first time where I would have two characters with exactly the same skills, yet a different RP.
