Treaty between NCR and BoS?

Post » Tue Sep 28, 2010 10:15 am

I had wanted to pursue the track of Helping Mr House, but somehow that failed (see post about Securitrons) so now i am helping the NCR. But Colonel Moore wants me to destroy the BoS base, and i don't want to. I like those guys. Isn't there a way to get a treaty between the two? I purposely did not help Hanson because i had read that would prevent the possiblity of a treaty. Is destroying the Hidden Valley complex the only way to complete this course?

After you complete both quests for the BoS and did not change the Elder, then you can talk about the treaty.

You need to talk to the Elder and tell him that the NCR is trying to destroy them and than he'll tell you to propose a truce with them.

Edit: Freaking ninjas. :gun: :ninja: :ninja:

Just talk to the Elder and you'll be fine, and as a special bonus, you piss off Colonel Moore

Just to let you know, if you play for CL you cannot make a treaty with the brotherhood. I found this out halfway through my CL playthrough. I then proceeded to wipe out CL and blow ceasers head off. :flamethrower:

I see now that the second BoS quest 'Eyesight to the Blind' didn't trigger, even tho I finished 'Still in the dark'. I read on the Wiki that I may have to get Veronica as a companion and complete those quests. I bet i will have trouble tho becuase I have already done many of the things that are listed as triggers for her. I seems that with all of the intricate interaction in this game that here are many ways to get hung up and never finish.

As many of her triggers are simply visiting places you can simply go back to them, and to be clear Eyesight doesn't trigger unless you ASK to join the BoS
