There is a Tree Sap potion that is supposed to increse your health by +100 for 45 seconds.

I was planning on using this in a big fight I was having problems with. I take the potion and everything goes dark!?!? I can barely see when I am staring at a light source, but Im blind and get killed.

I am using a UI mod so I can play with Eyefinity 5760x1080, and wonder if this is maybe a bug of the UI?? OR a bug of the game? Or an intended side effect?

Isn't the tree sap for a quest? Eating the quest objective doesn't usually turn out well.

It feels like a drug like skooma. But I'm not too sure about it.

I did the same thing, had no idea what the potion did but I was dead if I didn't drink it for that +100 hp. Find myself swinging wildly at the swarm of bandits around me and all I hear is Lydia complaining that she's on my side. Oops all I could see was some blurry movement, if you'd just point me towards the nearest enemy that'd be great.

Thanks, not sure what was going on here. I think I need to fill it as part of the quest objective. Maybe it will work then.

working as intended if I remember right there is a giant camp you find a corpse blah blah not gona put in spoilers and the description thats given for the tree sap given by the NPC was something like it does something to vision. Personally I never tried it before or after hearing that.
