Trespassing and using other people's beds

Probably yeah. Even if you are the famous Dovahkiin, the guards will still treat you like Criminal Scum for the slightest offense

Let's hope they fixed that though, you don't treat the Hero of Kvatch/Champion of Cyrodiil/Guild Master like scum for stealing a spoon :shakehead:

"Um, could you maybe, uh, give that back? Please?"

If sleeping in other peoples bed, make leveling require a week or own bed, or depending on bed quality - dungeons way harder to study in compared to your own mansion. Makes sense to study deep for that new perk.

I think you should be able to use anything until detected by someone.

So let's say,you decide to sleep in the house of a farmer working out.You will be able to until he comes back, and perhaps be waked up by a guard he's called.

If you like his house and kill him,the house is yours.Meaning the door's photo-sensitive lock system stops functioning in the night, the bed is free.

About tresspassing, the system is dumb if you ask me.Why does the game give you "tresspassing" flag and prevent you from some things? If you are detected, you can't.Not detected, everything goes.

I agree with most of you that the tresspassing in DF, MW, and OB were not implemented correctly in the game, but I'm not sure what fix the devs could possibly add to correct it. IMO, the line has to be drawn somewhere. Killing a person and taking their house in town is unrealistic. Sooner or later someone will discover that NPC is missing and if the PC can't dispose of the body (hint;) the guards or other NPC's will investigate.

Owned beds in OB were a headache. The PC should be able to attempt to sleep in them, however if caught then it is a crime.

Just like when you kill somebody, you can loot his body without any stolen mark on them, when you kill anybody, the ownership flag of all of his belongings are ignored and you can have full access to his bed and other belongings, but maybe their ownership should be transferred to his/her heir, hmm?

I think the items should still count as stolen. They are not yours, that's for sure... you killed the owner to get them.
If you are allowed to buy the house later the ownership of the items could be removed, or maybe the old owner's items could be removed, and would have to be replaced.

I agree, this seems to make the most sense if we're going for 'realism'.
