Tribals.

Will there be any tribals in FONV? This line in the latest developer diary, "There are issues with domesticating tribals and forcing them into one view of the world" makes it sound like there might well be tribals in New Vegas - and that the more powerful sides seek to incorporate them in their respective societies, sorta...

I'm pretty sure they were referring to things like the raider? groups such as the Khans that will be in Fallout: New Vegas. Correct me if I'm wrong. x]

Or used to be, anyway.

They're referring to the FO2/point lookout style tribals which is more of a thing down on the west coast.

People who live in huts, use sharpened spears, worship wind spirits and vault suits, that sort of thing.

That's what I was thinking yeah. In essence, people of the wasteland who has gone back to the hunter-gatherer ways. Raiders are more like robber bands... <_<.

definitely. Take a look at the pre-order bonus Tribal pack. Raider Blastmaster armor, some poison-tipped spears. (I was hoping for Point Lookout tribals as I had a bit of a thing for them, but meh). It's all good.

The PL tribals would have actually been fairly normal, but they all ended up being morons because of that whole "free your mind by cutting a chunk of it out" thing. And all that was because "The Brain" told them to. He wanted stupid, easy to control subjects.
So no, I doubt we'll be seeing them, or anything like them again. The circumstances aren't the same.

Raiders arnt tribals tho some raiders might be former tribals that armor is tribal raiding armor not tribal raider armor.

No tribals are basicaly people who adopted either on purpose of not.. the lifestyle of american indians of say the 1400s or earlier.

And yes id say thier being tribal armor means there likely are tribes in the game and id bet likely hunting the gekos.

A tribal camp would be cool to see, although when playing my evil character I might just clean house when I find them :P

I would love to see Tribals in the game, hopefully in different tribes, and maybe fighting amongst each other?

Fallout 2 had a few tribes, so it would be likely for more show up in Nevada. So, yeah, Tribals are in. Wonder what kind of craziness they follow next. Can Grampy Bone be made to look like the most common thing in the world?
