Trips to other lands

Post » Sun Dec 26, 2010 9:36 pm

In Morrowind you went to Solstheim and Mournhold.
In Oblivion you were able to visit a hand painted World. And in a DLC you saw the Shivering Isles.
In Fallout 3 every DLC led to another map, even to a spaceship...

So Bethesda is very experienced in sending us out for trips to other lands.

Therefore i expect further "vacations", which could led us to places like
- Just parts of other provinces.
- A part of Akavir (with borders like in Point Lookout, FO3)
- Or my favorite
Spoiler
Being able to visit a small part of Morrowind′s wasteland, since Bethesda got some skills in creating a Wasteland. Maybe the big crater where Vivec once stood.
If you see it the first time in an epic panorama view, a sad version of one of the Morrowind tracks begins to play. Then you would have to dive throught the ruins to search for something important on a quest.

Now this is just my personal opinion but there′s one kind of Place i′ve seen too much of and that′s other dimensions (the painted world, Shivering Isles, Oblivion itself).
So i would like to see places on the Map of Tamriel.

But maybe you guys got some better ideas..

What's a Gramfeste? Do you mean the city of Mournhold?

Pretty much anywhere on the map would make for very appealing DLC, personally. I'd particularly like to see Akavir's coast, some part of the ruins of Morrowind, or especially Thras (perhaps on a quest to battle Sload necromancers).

"Being able to timetravel somewhere in a quest..."

Never considered that before, but since if we're fighting a time god, there'd probably never be a more appropriate time to do it. The end of the main quest could have you temporarily taken to the era when everything was loopy and the laws of physics and nature weren't invented yet.

I want a quest that requires we search the ruins of Vivec, or another (now destroyed) significant location in Morrowind.

I would like to see more actual story expansion in Skyrim as opposed to new land myself. In Oblivion, I felt that the geography of the empire made it so that new expansions for Elsweyr and Valenwood could easily be added, but this was not the case. Skyrim, I think, is more closed off than Cyrodiil was, and making expansions of land would be a little harder for Bethesda to pull off well. Also, I like the idea of revisiting already existing places in the game and finding further developments. In Oblivion, it seemed that with the inclusion of KOTN and SI, you didn't actually revisit the main cities anymore- "I was there and did everything, so why go back?" :P

I know everybody seems to be tired of Daedric realms, but I can't help it - I'd just love to see another Daedric prince's plane of Oblivion.

Take us to High Rock, it isn't so big that it can't be done, and it is such an exotic location.

Balmoras ruins would be a nice trip, it would feel somewhat nostalgic to visit a place 206 years ago (I think?) that you actually played and had experiences in.

high rock would make a lot of sense for an expansion.

I agree high rock would be awesome, also the Adamantine Tower is there the oldest structure in Tamriel's history. The towers use is unknown so could link quite easily to the main storyline in Skyrim.
