I'm doing the Chorrol recommendation quest and I have reached a point where I should cast a shock spell on the altar.
I have a Welkynd Stone and although I cast a shocking touch on that altar, nothing happens...

Does anyone know why? I didn't find anything under bugs on UESP.

Maybe you just need to use a ranged shock spell?

You certain you hit the altar? It′s been far too long since I did this quest unfortunately so I can′t come up with anything else I′m afraid...

Yes, I hit it from every possible corner, from close and afar.
My quest stage is correct, I checked the console.

I had no idea what else to do, I don't like using the console to advance the quest.
