Trouble creating fomods

Post » Sat Feb 19, 2011 9:26 am

Every time I create a fomod in what should be the proper way and I try to activate it I get the error message,

"A problem occurred during install:
Method not found: 'Boolean System.Threading.WaitHandle.WaitOne(Int32)'.
The mod was not installed.

Anyone knows what the heck that means? I unpacked the mod into a folder and put the proper files in a folder called "Data" and then selected create fomod and selected the data folder as the source and dragged the necessary files into the box to the right of it. I didn't bother with putting all the author and version name as this is just my own personal use. The readme was picked up and added too so that worked. After it finished compacting and making the fomod I tried to activate it and got the above message.

I read the guide again and it was of no help.

I hope someone can help me.

Can't say what exactly that error message means but it sounds like your doing something wrong. I highlighted what doesn't sound right to me. You want to arrange the files into a folder before trying to create a FOMOD, not during the process. FOMM will apply the FOMOD to the data folder when you activate it.

Say you have a mod called NiceMod that came as a .rar archive and is organized like: \NiceMod\Textures with an NiceMod.esp file in \NiceMod. Unpack the archive and direct FOMM to the folder NiceMod and create the FOMOD, then activate it and see that you now have NiceMod.esp in your \Data folder and that \Data\Textures now includes the NiceMod texture files.
