So, I am attempting to farm legendary items at the spot with the sentry bot just south west of the school names in the title and am running into some problems.

I quicksaved in front of the door as the guide I read stated to, and I just open the door, and reload the save whenever I don't get the legendary sentry bot. Trouble is I have done this roughly 70 times now and only got one legendary sentry bot, who had no legendary item on him. I'm on survival difficulty, I'm starting to wonder if this got patched, anyone else having trouble, or know of any details I may have missed?

If you are on a PC, then there is a mod that allows you to adds almost any legendary effect to whatever weapon or armor you want. Reducing the grind in the game is a very good reason to add mods.

Most legendary npcs are random with a few fixed legendary npcs. So it is likely that you encountered a random legendary npc.

My favorite farming method is simple, then you enter an load zone the game does an auto save, this show the picture from inside but its made before the cell is loaded, if you get an legendary enemy fast after entering and he drop items you don't need, just reload that save and try again, almost all the times the legendary enemy spawns again and have new item, you can continue doing this until you find something you like, you can also use an extra save after getting an decent item and continue trying for something amazing until bored.

I am familiar with this method, and while I use it for many items the ones I am currently after requires a level higher than I can get at most of the places you can loot lock. So for that reason I am trying areas where the enemy matches your characters level, which this is one.

I've kept at it and have started getting legendary enemies here, but nowhere near the volume this place is quoted as having.

I feel so bad for people who are just trying to force spawn legendaries instead of killing things without them like everyone else... I went with the sarcastic speech option.

your method would frustrate me to death!

I would rather explore more new areas of higher ranked mobs to get the good stuff then waste hours on one save spam.

this is my 3rd play through, I could beat the game without them obviously, I just want something interesting to play with.

My method of farming legendaries doesn't involve save scumming at all, it works by increasing the number of legendaries I fight via bloatly lavae syringes.

Its surprising how many legendaries pop out of enemies levels 15+.

And as a side benefit it get you using a weapon that has lots of interesting uses.

I might look into that, the only reason I'm doing it the way I am now is because the item I want requires the enemy be over level 37, and there are only a few guaranteed places to find that (that I have found).

I don't do it for a long time just to I get something decent and not security batons who draws fewer Ap in vat and similar
