i have the goty edition and i cant install it properly i first uninstalled it because of a cursor.nif file missing but when i reinstalled it it was only the morrowind startup that came up not the goty version (even though both the esms for tribunal/bloodmoon were marked in data files) and i couldnt get it to get past the loading screen without some errors about texture sizes coming up so i uninstalled and reinstalled it a few times with no result. now ive deleted the morrowind folder and trying to install again doesnt work. at the install screen it goes to play instead of install.
ive been trying to fix this for a while now so if anyone can help please do.i remember having a problem like this a few years a go but cant remember how i fixed it

If you deleted the folder itself without using the uninstaller, there are enttries left in the Windows Registry. Delete them using a tool like CCleaner or RegCleaner, or manually if you know what you're doing.

And, if you are on Vista or 7, make sure you install the game outside Program Files/Program Files (x86).

that got it working but now when im trying to install tribunal i get a component transfer error and something about a cyclic reduncancy check anyone know how to fix that? i installed it in C:/morrowind

Check if your Tribunal disc is dirty or scratched. You can try removing the dirt with something soft. If it is scratched, the disc may need replacing.

Also, I'm not sure if it's OK to install games directly to root of the drive, check that too.
