Hello, everyone. I recently downloaded the free Daggerfall download on gamesas's website. I've gone through their installation instructions twice, but whenever I try to run it, (by typing in DAGGER), I get this error:

ERROR: Looks like you inserted the wrong CD.  Please insert your Daggerfall CD in your cdrom and try again.

Of course, I can't do this, since I'm using the download. Any ideas on how to get this to work?

I think I had this problem when I first tried downloading and installing Daggerfall. Downloading it again fixed the problem for me.

You can use the pre-configured version available http://theelderscrolls.wiwiland.net/?title=Daggerfall_:_DaggerfallSetup_EN.
You even get bonus content with that one.

I really wish the mods would just sticky this ^^^

would save people a whole lot of silly bother.

If you followed the http://static.gamesas.com/downloads/games/daggerfall_legal_and_installation.pdf, the "wrong CD" error generally happen because of two reasons.

• You're using an older version of DOSBox than 0.73, the solution is to download the latest release of http://www.dosbox.com/.
  
• When you mount the CD in DOSBox, the "-label Daggerfall" part is case sensitive. You must write Daggerfall, not daggerfall or dAGGERFALL or anything else.

Mine crashes when I try to start a new game or load a game.
