The game freezes, not the patching process?

Try renaming the Fallout3.ini in "My Documents/My Games/Fallout 3" to Fallout3.ini.bak and then use the FalloutLauncher.exe to start the game. That will generate a new INI file for you.

Are you running any mods at all?

IF you have Fallout 3 game of the year edition (GOTY). its already patched.
trying to install the same patch again WILL make it freeze in one form or
another.

Its the patching proccess witch freezes or stop patching after the game launches, and i got the orginal version of fallout( have one expansion installed).

I did not have this problem on my old computer and to play fallout 3 again you need to patch it.

The game patch is starting patching and launches the game, after that the patch freeze/stop patching and im not finding any soloution to this.

ITs the orginal game, no mods at all exept for broken steel expansion.

I've got a similar if not the same problem.
I've googled it a bit and found a solution that worked for me.
Just go to My Documents->My Games->Fallout3 and remove all .ini files. Then install patch 1.7.
Unfortunately all my personalisations are gone. For example blue HUD, etc. It's green now.

We need your dxdiag to see what computer you have and see what your problem is. Your game freezes everytime you start it.
Have you download and install Game for Windows-Live?
Do you have a Quard Core processor?
If you have do this in your Falout3 ini file:

Find this bUseThreadedAI=0
Change to this bUseThreadedAI=1

Then type this underneath
iNumHWThreads=2

That is for your processor if you have a Quard Core.

What's your graphics card?

We seeing blind

Post your dxdiag. All you have to do is Start-Accessories-Run- dxdiag and copy and paste it here.

I got windows 7, latest raedon grafiq card, most likely quad proccessor, but its aint the game , witch "freezes" its the good damn patch, with stops patching after the game gets launched, its a software problem by those who made the patch.

I cant find any good soulotion to this problem, starting patching , the game launches, patch stops patching after the game launches.

How to solve that?

Try using the Task Manager to end the Fallout3.exe process as soon as the patch starts the game. See if that helps.
