Wish I'd known about TES back then... I missed out.

TES games rock! From the start they were open sandbox worlds. Some things have changed over time but Bethesda has kept true to the formula.

Wow, I feel kinda old right now. I didn't play Daggerfall but I do recall similar looking games of the period and they were state-of-the-art! I do remember playing Morrowind and thinking the graphics seemed a few years old, but they put so much into the world of these games and have made some great improvements IMHO

Daggerfall takes place in High Rock and Hammerfell.

That's Breton architecture. That's why Solitude looks similar because it's close to High Rock.
