True Red Hair

Post » Sat Dec 17, 2011 4:15 am

I searched and searched for hair color mods but found none, and I just wanted to voice my disappointment that I can't get any true red-haired people. Anyone else had the same problem and perhaps found a solution?

Do you mean red hair like real-life red hair or ridiculous anime hair?

I'm pretty sure the former is in the game (not sure though because I exclusively play Argonians) and the latter will probably be modded in with the slew of other horrible anime mods.

Nice way to be a complete jerk and offend plenty of players/customers of Beth's games you know? Not to mention judging people based on their appearance rather than their actual selves.

East Asian mods are what makes Beth's games playable for many, many players, as can be seen by their popularity. Beth and other Western companies need to offer a choice, especially when they claim their games are all about choice.

I just mean like natural red hair. They all seem more light brown with a slight slight tint of rust, but no real red hair. I wanted a Nord red-haired, bearded axe wielding warpainted berserker...

Can you post a sample of the colour?

The only red hair I've seen in the game looks like it came out of a bottle.

I haven't seen any gingers in this game.

Going for an http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Erik_the_Red playthrough, then? I respect that. Unfortunately, I don't believe there are truly red hair colors, although the brown hairs look pretty red to me.

I come from a family of redheads. The hair in the game looks right to me. Not all redheads are the same of course, but most of them actually have orange hair, not red. Bright red comes out of a bottle.

I don't think "anime" counts as people?
And i think wayman just felt that having, well, anime stuff in TES games are kinda weird, like i do. Why would the post be offensive?

I guess Bethesda realized the truth about readheads. They're unattractive.

If redheads turn out well, they can be mouthwateringly delicious.

If not, they can be unbelievably disgusting.

I see that copper-orange tint in the game, but it's very subtle. Mixed in with the blonde tones. I wish it were a little more pronounced, like in your example pic.

Yeah, you're right. You need the one between the one in your pick, and http://www.truancyfactory.com/images/misc/elsbet_profile.png, which is closer to strawberry blonde. I wish they had sliders for colors instead of presets. It can be annoying when you're going for a specific look. Same for eyes.

I think you've just described every color hair.

The same can be said for people of any hair-type, skin tone.

Argonians have a few unique shades of red hair that can be used on other races through the use of hybrid races (All you need is showracemenu, player.setrace, and possibly sixchange commands). Both sixes of Argonians share a red hair color(their first one) that's slightly darker than the red hair other races get(it wasn't obvious until I compared screenshots) that looks better than what humans/elves/orcs get. Male Argonians have an unnaturally bright/oversaturated red hair color, that you'd probably only ever see on an anime character.

1.Showracemenu, choose race you want to be, set-up your face but don't press R and finish yet

2a. player.setrace Argonian, adjust hair color
or
2b. player.setrace Argonian, sixchange, adjust haircolor, sixchange back to original gender

3. optional, player.setrace , reselect hairstyle(but do not touch color again). Press R and finish.
Note: you may need to switch to another race(and cycle through hairstyles) if your hair is messed up, then back to the original race(important) to reselect your hair style. You may need to repeat this more than once.

What? Bethesda was thinking logically.

How could a ginger be Dragonborn if they don't have souls?

I know most will get offended but when I look up Walkthrough videos to help me when I'm stuck I pray to not click on a PC players walkthrough video, why? Because that stupid damn anime crap... I hate anime and the way characters look and especially that their hair... Though DBZ is the only exception.
