Truely unbelievable

What on earth was Crytek thinking? This game is so much worse than the original crysis It's shocking. No Directx10 or 11, no prone, no lean, no fists, no first-person driving, no weapon grabbing animation, no holding weapons and enemies at the same time, throwing objects feels weird and awkward now, the nanosuit isn't nearly as much fun to use or as responsive, no quicksave, no regular save, no making the difficulty higher without starting the game over, no changing the color of the menu and HUD, no customizing crosshairs, no graphics options whatsoever, no difference between this game and halo or cod. I got myself so pumped up for this game only to be let down. I just have no idea what Crytek was thinking, they should have known they would get flamed bad for this.

You know, they intentionally piss pc gamers off to make those console fanboys happy.

Console players seem to have just as many complaints about the game as PC players this time around.

my only issue is the hand grabbing weapons being gone. And i'd like to be able to disable the crosshair and grenade warning thing.

I feel the exact same way. The Quality assurance team clearly did not play crysis 1.

i really don't think they thought anything through. I like the way the armor and stealth mode workings now but the complete lack of graphic settings is horrible, i have played $5 games with better graphic options. I like the feel of the game but they really dropped the ball on alot of stuff. They gutted crysis 1 to make a console version and forgot to make the PC version all together. Really makes you wonder if the dev team actually played the first crysis. Crytek why have you forsaken us...WHY?!?!?

Crytek should really consider this game canon and start over and stay on Cryengine 2.This is a pathetic pile of spitt compared to the first crysis.

QFT. My thoughts exactly. First and foremost, where's my **** quicksave? WHERE? Is it really a PC game?! I want to play the game and try different ways on a very hard difficulty but at the same time I don't want to kill 10-15 soldiers 10 times in a row loading again and again from the last checkpoint! BTW, these checkpoints are scarce and insufficient. I've played on my PC some console ports with much, much better checkpoint system.

But this... It's a Crysis game! How could it be without quicksave when even the beta version had this quicksave function as well as a 64-bit exe and lots of other now missing stuff?

After playing 5 levels I've already lost all my interest in this crap. How could I describe it... It's like after all those constant lies PC gamers finally (after some months of dead silence in 2011) were owned and humiliated in public. My hope in this game is almost lost. Well, I'm going to wait for some HUGE patches if there would be any. If not, then **** this game and Crytek, let 'em enjoy my money for the last time. For me, the successful Crytek history ends on Crysis Warhead. Crysis 2? Dude, there's no such game on the PC.

As a professional software tester, there is no way in hell I would have signed this off. Not even if the CEO told me to in person. Their QA team (EA/Crytek) is piss poor at best.

Or maybe their QA team consists of only console players.

what i find hilarious is that the game is getting 9's and above across the board (PC v.) on all the review websites. it's like everybody forgot that Crysis 1 even existed.

Maybe we should stop comparing the two different games? 4 years have passed now. It's time to look forward. Crysis 2 is a totally different game. I've always felt Crysis 1 and Warhead were showcases to boast the insane graphics. The gameplay itself wasn't THAT special. Sure, it was fun fooling around with the Nanosuit, but hey, it's back in the new game. From what I've seen from the trailers etc. is that the gameplay has been massively improved, combined with still awesome graphics.

The game isn't even released yet in Europe. I think we should have some patience. There are always problems in the first few days, certainly online. Rants about DX11 and the like is getting really tedious now (which is maybe why they, you know who, don't respond). I'm a PC player as well, don't get me wrong, but I still have faith in Crytek.

I've read the pc reviews and they all score high, but seem to leave out any mention of the issues. But if you look at all the posts following the revies, the majority are disagreeing with the review score

Considering ea as such a big company, and Crysis 2 has so many advertisemants on different game sites, only a fool will give the game a mediocre score which it deserves.
Giving Crysis 2 a low score = cut off future potential advertisment incomes from ea.

stop comparing Crysis 2 to Crysis 1? not likely, dude. this is the sequel. hell, I'd love to look forward. too bad Crysis 2 is 5 steps BACKWARD. the game is released here in the US, I've been playing it for 8 or 9 hours. my complaints are based on a first hand account of the game. your faith is based on a demo, apparently. everything about Crysis 1 has been stripped down and consolized. there's plenty of other threads with comprehensive lists of what's been dumbed down for consoles so I won't go into them all here.

it seems to me that those of us who loved Crysis 1 are the ones who are hit hardest by this disaster. we simply -can't- look at Crysis 2 without seeing what a kick in the balls it is to the fans who spent days and days of our lives wandering around the Lingshan Island, marveling at the most beautiful game ever created.

but hey, enjoy your console port.

Maybe because they don't give a **** about the graphics and are reviewing what actually matters like story and gameplay. I'm having a blast in the game so far because I can look past the graphics to see game that is extremely fun to play.

Do you know how stupid some of these comments sound? The game being on consoles has nothing to do with the issues mentioned.. They made the game the way they wanted to. Features they didn't want were taken out. Gun grab animation, first person driving, etc... Do you guys honestly believe they removed these sorts of things because it wouldn't fit on consoles or something? This is cracking me up.

the game is awesome, end of story .... all games today need a bit of tweaks and fixes after release. The biggest mistake with crysis 2 was to make it for ps3, xbox360 and Pc... this always brings problems...

If i think to the future i dont want to know what will happen with the all loved BF3...

Dont get me wrong, i got a Xbox360 and a Ps3 too, but Shooters or MMO`s should be played on Pc only... and games with new Engines should not start with consoles... I would start with Pc and after all the problems are fixed on Pc, maybe than i would bring a console version of a game... but hey, we are all little guys that cant tell the big companys what they should do and what not...

i am sorry for my bad english i hope some ppl understand what i want to say

That doesn't make any sense.. FPS should only be played on PC? Why exactly is that? It's no secret that a high end PC will have better graphics than a five year old console, but FPS games play just as good on consoles as they do on PC. PC gamers like to say "console fanboys" and the funny thing is that makes them look like the most narrow-minded fanboy around. The only thing a high end PC has over console is slightly better textures, a better draw distance, and better looking lighting and shadows.. But all that comes at a much higher cost. They don't have to dumb down gameplay to make it fit consoles.. Those are just uneducated claims.

EA seriously knows how to annoy their customers.

They give a damn sh*t about quality.

If they would learn, they would do a lot better. All they want is our money no more no less.

I didn't pre-order because of login problems with the demo and because I suspected this game is nothing more than a console port that only runs 32 bits on my I7 rig.

I expected so much more from Crytek....

The game has showed itself to basicly be a console port, and while not having DX11, a graphics options menu and all the other options and details the original feautured is annoying it's how they have butchered the gameplay of Crysis that really puts me off.

It's slow, clunky, restricted and meant to be played with a controller. It doesn't necessarily make it a bad game but looking back at the original it is a bloody disaster. This is how I wish to continue play Crysis games:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MgqX6ZKHah0
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UPYscghF5Mk

They've simplified the game, focused on an entirely new audience and five year old hardware.

Yes, it has been nearly 4 years... so why the **** are we moving backwards?
