I have yet to see a drug being refered to as "Goo." How about that?

I like that a lot. Midas Touch would be a good name for the story. So far, these are what I consider the best:

Midas
Red Steam
Blue Rain
Euphoria
Blue
Sanguine
Paradigm

What do you guys think?

I still stand by my suggestions of Hydro, Sanguine and Paradigm.

I also second "Midas." It's a little cheesy, but I like the bit about getting "the Midas' touch." The cheesiness, however, could be avoided by making believe that "Midas" is short for the technical name for the drug, "Midasol" or "Midasiatic Acid" or some such.

Ice

...That's all I got.

Just to let you know Ice is a real drug so I don't recomend it. Ambrosia is a substance the gods of olympus drank.

Happy juice?

Beth.

Saying Rapture is stealing from Bioshock, essentially.

Ash, short for Asdexlon
Flux, short for Cineflux
Obi, short for Obictithuol
Net, short for Netti

Meh, lol.

Not really. Just because it's a popular game that takes place in a city named Rapture doesn't mean the word hasn't been around for a long time before that.

Anyway, I like the short unassuming names the best. Like someone posted, Blue. It's got a good ring to it, for a drug.

In this community at least. I am not saying you can't, but it wouldn't be original.

That's true. Even if the name worked well (which it might, depending on what this drug supposedly does :P, though I doubt we should discuss that), you'd get a bunch of people saying it's unoriginal and whatnot.

I read that as "a fictional dog" and though Ambrosia was nice enough.

Solanum,

It's the virus that causes Zombies in Max Brooks' books.

Why not? Recreational drugs turned a lot of my old friends into zombies so I find it appropriate.

Yes.

Serious:
I like the color names, anything like "red" blue" "black" etc sounds good.

Also, +4/+5 for Midas

Maybe call it "Touch"?

It's for a story I'm working on, and I need a good name for a drug, preferably not sounding like the usual -ozine, -ine, -alin crap, but an already made word like the fictional drugs "Jet" (Fallout) and Ambrosia (Deus Ex, I think).

The drug would be pretty much the equivalent of an almost 100% addictive heroin.
