Trying to get into another playthrough...

Post » Mon Mar 14, 2011 6:59 pm

I played fallout 3 a pretty good amount. But I did not get it till late into the cycle, around june 2010. Thus I did not get the dlc, as New Vegas was coming soon.

I love new vegas, just finished 2nd playthrough, but I think I need a break, maybe for a new fallout 3 playthrough.

Should I get the dlc? Or should I wait till the holidays for the New Vegas dlc ( im on xbox)

Get Point Lookout, and The Pitt.

I haven't played Operation Anchorage but I've heard that it was a bit disappointing, and I also haven't played Mothership Zeta as I ran out of Microsoft Points for it (though, if anyone is willing to donate some MS Points, I'll gladly take some (half-joking here) :-P )

If you really enjoy Fallout 3, get the GOTY edition. It's like getting the game for free and you don't have to fool with long downloads.

Point Lookout and The Pitt are the best in my opinion, but I enjoy all of the dlcs. Zeta and Anchorage are geared more towards shootery fans whereas The Pitt is more for people who like a great story.

Must-have DLC for Fallout 3: Point Lookout and Broken Steel

Broken Steel allows you to play the game after the game ending, and raises the level cap from level 20 to 30. Point Lookout is the biggest of all DLC, with several quests and a lot of places and a lot of cool enemies and stuffz, you'll enjoy it.

yeah, zeta and anchorage are good, but only in that you get some cool and useful weapons and armor from them. Like the Gauss rifle if you want an amazing sniper rifle that is an energy weapon, or the Winterized T51-B that is awesome protection and does not wear out. Beating Anchorage also gives you power armor training perk so you can wear power armor earlier in game.

Like someone else said go get the game of the year edition. it would probably be a better deal than buying all the dlc's separate. I don't think you can sell a used computer game though, so you are stuck there.

Honestly though you should get all the DLC. They all are great additions in my opinion.

Please put any information regarding spoilers in the [spoiler] [ /spoiler] tag, as the general discussion rules fall hard on putting spoilers out in the open.

If possible get all the FO3 DLC, you will not be disapointed :)

By the time you have done all of these it will probably be time for the release of NV DLC :D

Definitely get the DLC - Broken Steel is useful for when you finish the main quest. As separate self-contained questlines The Pitt and Point Lookout are awesome. Highly recommended.

I've seen the stuff you call "spoilers" talked about openly in general several times. If there really is a problem the mods can fix it, but I do not believe there is.

Go read the "Rules" Section of this forum friend.
It clearly states what is, and what is not a spoiler.
And no need to be a [censored] about it either.
It's not alot of extra work to use a spoiler tag, and it saves people alot of trouble by coming into a forum section that says "No Spoilers"

Return to Fallout 3
