you've tried other FPS? let me guess Modern Warfare, World at War, Modern Warfare 2, Black Ops.

Because if you 'have' played other FPS, you'd notice COD games are the only multiplayer user friendly games online. Other FPS require team or skills: Unreal Tournament, Battlefield, Team Fortess, Killzone, F.E.A.R, Quake.

Why are you dying? because you are not reading simple instruction put in the game, there are video tutorials teaching users how to play Brink.

Are you aiming at the feet or body or head? If you do play many FPS, you should know that shooting the feet/legs does less damage.

Are you camping? You have been given a Sprint innovative system, why are you hiding and not using it?

So you want to kill rather than perform objective? run and gun is your speciality, then COD is written all over this.

I'm sorry I can't help you. If you read the tutorial it will teach you that Heavy are slow and carry heavy weapons, they can also take in amount of damages.
Medium characters move decent, and sprint better than heavy
Light character moves the fastest but dies quicker than medium.

You've tried to be a considerate human being? let me guess, mommy and daddy didn't hug you enough, peer pressure, piss poor in school

Why are you a [censored]? because you are not taking the time to help him, and would rather pawn yourself off as being so much more elite.

Are you aiming to sh!t on his concerns? If you were a reasonable human being you should know that this kind of attitude is not very constructive, how about asking legitimate questions.

Are you stupid? You have been given an education system, why are you attempting to act so elitist and not using the intelligence you may/or may not have acquired.

So you want to respond like a moron rather than in a helpful fashion? Stupidity and your sanctimonious attitude is your specialty, then Counter-Strike is written all over this.

Why are you an [censored]?

If you ads mid and close range 9/10 times ull lose. Mid to close range whip out your smg and fire from the hip, hip fire is deadly accurate. Only use AR's for long range shots and some mid range occasions.

Ive been trying all the ARs and SMGs for secondary, Im gonna try your approach with the two SMGs though as I constantly lose 1 on 1 battles.

My buddy has been running with one of the battle rifles scoped and an SMG to boot. He's been racking up and impressive kill tally. Myself, and AR or shotgun, plus and SMG always.

@ Xino - Go be a [censored] bag else where.

Eh I would say this is true, until you get to point blank range. Barring the shotgun, point blank range is the best ares for ARs. Especially powerful, yet unsteady, ARs like the Rhett. The superclose range is excellent for getting kills. In fact, the last game I was playing I was able to take out 3 people in a 3 on 1 engagement on resort. First guy never knew what hit him, second and third, turned and started firing, all medium body types including me.

But otherwise, you are right. SMG at the closer mid range, and close rang battles are king.

I'm not going to read those 'personal' attack post. Therefore you wasted your good time typing all that bullsh...

as for the author...I don't give a damn what you think of my post.

You are the one acting naive here!

It's like you want to go to a theatre to watch a play, you have the ticket and the ticket says 'doors will be closed after 9pm'.
You arrived 10pm thinking you can do whatever the hell you want and come to find out the door is shut. You wonder why is the door shut and the receptionist told you, there's an indicated message for door closing on your ticket. It's not the company's fault, it's not the theatres's fault, it is your fault for not reading!

I've seen countless complaints about this game and people just seem to be playing this game differently and wrongly. Splash Damage did all their best to include tutorials and informations ABOUT Brink (something DICE can never do in Battlefield games and now they claim they will win the best FPS this Nov 2011), if you fail to read the important messages then it is your fault.

Why are you dying? you are using a light character vs heavy character....please tell me you were bound to win that duel.
why are you dying? you were targeting the feet and not body or head
why are you dying? you melee too fast and knocks down enemies while enemies can still fire at you while getting up.

If you do play FPS, you should be aware of the simple overused rules man. There's no help to be given here, the help lies in the manual/tutorial.

Seriously man, it's no brainer, it's just a stupid complaint. If you want to get better at the "basics" of the game, read the manual or tutorial. If you want to become "better" then you ask the forum. You don't ask the forum "how do i fire the trigger". you ask "how do I kill a sniper with buffed up damage hiding up in an inaccessible area".

Good luck with your naive. Hope you read tutorials and manuals next time. Just don't complain when Ninja Gaiden 3 comes out, because the game will tell you to Block, and I know you won't.

end of discussion

What, are you kidding me? Seriously?

Close range, the best weapon is OBVIOUSLY the sniper. <3

Woah. Woah woah woah. Woah.

Incorrect. Your logic is flawed.

Light>Heavy. I am always bound to win that duel. -1

Targeting the feet... yes, thats correct. You have +1.

Melee... If they have a quarter of health, stab them. Take out your pistol, press melee, and watch your knife glide through their skin. -1

Hmm? What's this? You seem to have misspelled SNIPER.

ESS-EN-AI-PI-EE-ER.

S-N-I-P-E-R.

Move move move and move some more. If you are playing this like a regular FPS with the same crap movement system then you're going to die against a more agile opponent. Also, as has been mentioned, this game is not meant for 1v1 match ups, especially if you are running up on an entrenched enemy. Stick with your team, work as a unit, try not to lone wolf, although some objectives require it.

1.The only thing I can think of is that are you sure you know the range of your weapon I found that if you are far away burst damge works more effective then just holding the trigger.

2. If you are within range of your weapon just aim and fire and never never stay still while you are trying to kill someone I know aiming and moving is a tad bit hard (at least for me) but moving keeps them trying to aim to slide sprint do everything u can.

3. Do not Chase to kill someone down stay and do your objective in less you are defending

4.Also if you play with friends have them buff you up health, and weapons buffs are pretty great when u run into a unbuffed enemy

5.Know your body type light can move real quick but have low health, medium is a balanced speed and a tad bit more health then light and heavy is slow but with a lot more health then the others.

6. And know your play-style me Im not that great at free running but I know how to get around so I use a medium most of the time. also i realize i play as a medic most of the time so I know Im going to be right in the middle of the battles most of the time so I know I half to have a SMG medium range or an AR and I always use a shotgun as a backup cause close range I shotgun does wonders.
These are all tips I use may help you or not but I just want to share with u and hope you enjoy or love the game man
