Yeah. I feel it's time to discuss http://www.imperial-library.info/obscure_text/tsaesci.shtml...because it's confusing the high hell out of me.

Let's start with the Striking for the sake of order. I get the twelve worlds crap and yada yada yada, but what about the other stuff?

Buh??? You got me. I was trying to see if anything sounded like the creation of Oblivion itself, and the framentation into different planes... the creation of Nirn... but, nothing seems to add up. Those crazy tsaesci...

What about all the different planets in what must be a solar system? Didn't some of them turn into Secunda and Masser after the whole Lorkhan debacle? I might very well be mistaken, though...

There was the Striking, and the Egg was split into twelve worlds, one for each serpent who had a name, and the names of the serpents were alive and coiled into themselves and became more eggs, for names are self-maters, and the Naming went and went.
Names are asixual?

According to the calculations, the random sequence learned very cunningly that fragmentation reserved itself to the left eye. Variation realms were the evidence needed.
Sounds like MK is making them extremely calculating, what we call 'cold-blooded', no pun intended. Left eye, and right Eye may be references to Anu and Sithis.

There was the Biting, which broke the twelve worlds and their name-eggs, and the Biters chewed new names of the lesser serpents until soon death was known to the smallest and your alphabets disappeared but ours did not.
The biting aka the sundering. The biters may be the Tsaesci themsemves, or the process of the the twelve worlds becoming one.

The state of rest became worthy of blame, however segmented, so heat was wasted across the right eye. And in mercy we gave to you language that was dead yet walking if you used it, which you did, though transient food-forms became problematic.
They say they gave man language, this is literal? Transient Food-Forms can be a reference to traveleing humans, and may be reference to when the Tsaesci 'ate' all the humans. I dont know what the state of rest was, perhaps the mythic dawn, or a period soon after the turmoil.

I will edit this post with more info in a bit....

In other myths, the twelve worlds (Nir) correlate to the twelve constellations, which are "slammed" into one ball, Nirn, which truly starts to exist upon Shor's death, which creates the thirteenth constellation, the Serpent.

His death also make Jone and Jode, AKA Masser and Secunda.

Concerning the Biting section, I'm confident it's refering to the creation of the et'Ada from the Biters, who I think are Anu and Padhome, but I'm not sure. "Transient food-forms" means Wandering Ehlnofey, or Men, correct? And the "dead-yet-walking language" is Ehlnofex, in reference to its power?

Yeah I caught that. Mainly because all of the snake references, biting, hunger and so on.

I haven't read either thoroughly enough though. It seems like you might be able to get more of the Tsaesci one if you can get the Ra Gada one.

Also the start of each paragraph starts with these References, they also may be a clue to the Tsaesci's woldview.

The Striking
The Biting
The Slithering
The Shedding
The Reaching
The Laying

There was the Striking, and the Egg was split into twelve worlds, one for each serpent who had a name, and the names of the serpents were alive and coiled into themselves and became more eggs, for names are self-maters, and the Naming went and went. According to the calculations, the random sequence learned very cunningly that fragmentation reserved itself to the left eye. Variation realms were the evidence needed.

There was the Biting, which broke the twelve worlds and their name-eggs, and the Biters chewed new names of the lesser serpents until soon death was known to the smallest and your alphabets disappeared but ours did not. The state of rest became worthy of blame, however segmented, so heat was wasted across the right eye. And in mercy we gave to you language that was dead yet walking if you used it, which you did, though transient food-forms became problematic.

There was the Slithering, when scales were now name-bites that moved freely, and the dead language speakers bled out into non-talk, which is egg-naming inverted, which slides into the shedding of more dead, which cannot be redeemed in the hunger quadrant, and now we could no more be detached, for the twelve-to-one only talked unsense except for us, who ate your slithering during trumpet season as the Biters poisoned the random sequence until we came and made of it music, as that is the only thing that might save the prey who wore all shapes of confusion not described yet in the calculations. Some of us discovered honor, though more found the idea of moderation, which turned into the identical selection process and we created our eating that way.

There was the Shedding, who inflated into a sphere of edible communications and this is how the sequence began to find proportion again. The name-eggs that had survived without also turning into calculation powder settled and became dreugh-waters, which was the first thing to finally encompass the risks attempted by the Striking. Stomach signals wrote a complex document of conditions. This was the variation map, called dai.

The Reaching came, where movements of dai progressed across islands of edible communication and food-forms could stockpile. One Reaching unravelled but the Coiling at its belly made a virtual star line, which made eating lucid. We slid to the imago and Named it cunningly. The waters obeyed and dead names took up their place in the random sequence. The first serpents returned to us in transmissions that answered the alphabet-virus which we then consumed at last. By the relative dai, we egg-named it and swallowed all source-information to preserve the virus and became immortal thereby. Past the star line, dead-talking continued.

The Laying then happened, and we moved into forms that had been granted from the source information of the first serpents, which was gold-walking, which is pattern. The scales became intertwined in the random sequence with music that ate forever, which we fed with you. Low forms created a seeking egg but we fed it to the music, too. Then the Biter-Shedding grew sideways into the reception field and knew a Coiling and mastery was ours borne from the calculations. The final name was Tsaescence and we ate it to become it and there are no more variations.

I believe the slithering is a direct reference to walking. The walking ways of myth, we walk like them, to become like them. We ate it to become it.

the process of the the twelve worlds becoming one.

That's more like the Slithering. Egg-naming inverted is opposite of what happened in the Striking, which is naming which created more names, and non-talk is probably the confusion that resulted thereafter.

They say they gave man language, this is literal? Transient Food-Forms can be a reference to traveleing humans, and may be reference to when the Tsaesci 'ate' all the humans. I dont know what the state of rest was, perhaps the mythic dawn, or a period soon after the turmoil.

Dead language walking? I guess it's a way to survive the Biting, where things couldn't start without being bitten. Segmented state of rest is the time between cycles. Transient food-forms wouldn't have lasted without knowing how to dead-talk.

Really, I'm probably thinking in a wrong way. The world is viewed as pieces of information, sequences, patterns, and codes.

This is the best I can come up with:

There was the Striking, and the Egg was split into twelve worlds, one for each serpent who had a name, and the names of the serpents were alive and coiled into themselves and became more eggs, for names are self-maters, and the Naming went and went. According to the calculations, the random sequence learned very cunningly that fragmentation reserved itself to the left eye. Variation realms were the evidence needed.

The Striking is the interplay of Anu and Padomay. The twelve worlds are the original spirits and the other et'Ada formed after/from them. Lorkhan is the "random sequence" who didn't want to fragment any more.

The Biting is Creation, the formation of the twelve worlds into one. The Biters are the Aedra or possibly the earthbones who eventually became the mortal gradient(lesser serpents who know death). The state of rest is the Altmeri Ehlnofey, which the Tsaesci see as a waste. The food wherever they started didn't last long? I'm not sure about that at all.

The Slithering is the Ehlnofey war perhaps (non talk between sides, shedding of more dead) which forced the Tsaesci to join in. Could be a possible link between Hist and Tsaesci, obvservers drug into a fight they didn't want, probably just seeing things though. Diving off from my last logic leap, the last line seems to indicate a split, possible seperation of Tsaesci and the rest of the Hist, still grasping at straws though.

The Tsaesci that survived the war(didn't become calculation powder) found a new home and continued the sequence. Still taking the Striking as Creation; the dreugh mention may be a reference to them "figuring out" creation and how to manipulate it. Dai could be creatia, that makes up the mundas.

The Reaching could be the Kalpas. One of which, like the Aldudagga's suggest, unraveled and dai spilled out everywhere. The "virtual star line" could be the Serpent Constalation. They seem to indicate that they can commune with the et'Ada. They then used the words of the et'Ada with the creatia and "consumed" it to make thier race immortal.

The Laying seems to be them taking a more "human" form (if the first serpents are the ehlnofey or et'ada who later became men/mer). They also chose to take partial form of the "Coiling" (dragon/snake) as well which they named Tsaescence and ate it to become it.

This is probably way off, and I came up with most of it as I was writing.

The food wherever they started didn't last long? I'm not sure about that at all.

I think it's also mentioned in the Redguard creation myth. Those names that didn't last long were consumed by biters, but there are those who understood the patterns and taught others how to survive. Then, those outside of the star line still continue to dead-talk.

Yeah. I feel it's time to discuss http://www.imperial-library.info/obscure_text/tsaesci.shtml...because it's confusing the high hell out of me.

Let's start with the Striking for the sake of order. I get the twelve worlds crap and yada yada yada, but what about the other stuff?

Muthsera,

Your question made me remember something that was discussed some time ago http://www.gamesas.com/bgsforums/index.php?showtopic=836518&st=20. Although it mainly dealt with the Dwemer, the Tscaesci and their creation were touched upon as well. I have recreated it for you below. I hope it helps. If not, then my apologies; I will lament to JHUNAL when next I enter the School at Westleigh.

The Dwemer combined their souls into one pseudo-Oversoul, which became the skin of the Numidium as shown in the diagram of Divine Metaphysics. Yagrum Bagarn was in an "Outer Realm" so that his soul would not become a part of the Numidium during this "joining". Why, you may ask? With all the Dwemer a part of the Numidium, someone would still be needed to operate the Tools and focus the energy into the Numidium as shown in the diagrams of The Egg of Time.

Because The Egg of Time mainly discusses what happens when mistakes are made during the "Sundering" of the "Egg of Time", it seems that the Dwemer were destroyed by the process. Whether "destruction" is what they wanted, however, remains to be seen.

As for what happens to Sundered Eggs, the Tsaesci Creation Story states that they either turn into new eggs (i.e., universes of their own) or "calculation powder" when something goes awry. Since the Dwemer left behind "ashes piles", I would conclude that their Sundering went awry.

...

Yes, it would be going down an AE subgradient, although the journey does not end there.

"You in the Fourth Era have already witnessed many of the attempts at reaching the final subgradient of all AE, that state that exists beyond mortal death. The Numidium." (Loveletter)

The final AE subgradient is [Z]. Since [Z] is still connected to AE, there is still one last jump past AE into [The Eternal I], which is described as "an incalculable effort" of Love. Those who succeed in this effort become a New Man.

The goal is to get out of Mundus Centrex (i.e., the world that Lorkhan created).

"...all living things; all souls know deep down they came originally from somewhere else, and that Nirn is a cruel and crucial step to what comes next. What is this next? Some wish to return to the original state, the spirit realm, and that Lorkhan is the Demon that hinders their way; to them Nirn is a prison, an illusion to escape. Others think that Lorkhan created the world as the testing ground for transcendence; to them the spirit realm was already a prison, that true escape is now finally possible." (Spirit of Nirn)

You can only get out by dying and not being reborn...but not being a victim of permanent "Sithite erasure". (See Nu-Mantia Intercept, Letter #4) You must continue to live, and you can only do that through love. (Loveletter)

I believe that certain things can go wrong in the process, even when mortals uses things that can put forth an "incalculable effort", such as the Numidium. One of the things that can go wrong is adding chaos to the process of transcendence, even though The Egg of Time says that it cannot. When something goes wrong, such as adding or neglecting to add an element, then there are disastrous consequences, such as being reduced to "calculation powder" (see Tsaesci Creation Myth). I believe, although I have yet to have anyone agree or disagree with this theory, that failing to make the leap to the Eternal I is called "LANDFALL".

One of the necessary elements in making the jump to the Eternal I, and thus avoiding Landfall, is "Love", according to the Loveletter From The Fifth Era.

The Dwemer knew nothing of Love (see Sermon 3), which is why they did not add it to the mix and, therefore, were reduced to calculation powder. They managed to make it the point of mortal death, but did not leap beyond it, it seems.

Thoughts anyone?

Yours in the Scrolls,

There was the Striking, and the Egg was split into twelve worlds, one for each serpent who had a name, and the names of the serpents were alive and coiled into themselves and became more eggs, for names are self-maters, and the Naming went and went. According to the calculations, the random sequence learned very cunningly that fragmentation reserved itself to the left eye. Variation realms were the evidence needed.

Aurbis is sundered into gods. Fragmentation along the left eye refers to Oblivion. Variation realms refer to the Daedric realms, proof of this division.

In the first part the Aurbis was sundered into gods. In the second part, Sithis eats of the things created so that;
These ideas ebbed and flowed and faded away and this is how it should have been.
Or:
Akel made itself known, and Satak could only think about what it was, and it was the best hunger, so it ate and ate. Soon there was enough room to live in the worlds and things began. These things were new and they often made mistakes, for there was hardly time to practice being things before. So most things ended quickly or were not good or gave up on themselves. Some things were about to start, but they were eaten up as Satak got to that part of its body. This was a violent time.
"The state of rest that became worthy of blame" and "heat wasted across the right eye" is a reference to the idleness of the aedra,

One idea, however, became jealous and did not want to die; like the stasis, he wanted to last. This was the demon Anui-El, who made friends, and they called themselves the Aedra. They enslaved everything that Sithis had made and created realms of everlasting imperfection. Thus are the Aedra the false gods, that is, illusion.

This is by far the most confusing passage. It seems to imply a disorder, either before Akatosh's arrival and the advent of time or during the dawn on Nirn. I don't think it's the latter because of the following passage. But Akatosh is never really mentioned, and that statement that they had to make of the random sequence music, to "save the prey whowore all shapes of confusion" suggests they had some way of averting the effects of the dawn.

This is why I don't believe the previous refers to the Dawn on Nirn. Because here, Nirn is being created; "inflated into a sphere of edible communications". "The name-eggs that had survived ...settled and became dreugh-waters." Dreugh waters are the primeval waters of Nirn. Dreugh-waters are mentioned in the Commentaries, only as a shady period far in the past. "Stomach signals wrote a complex document of conditions" - in the Yokudan myth, it is Lorkhan's stomach, not his heart, that is cut out. Perhaps a reference to the "consequence of variable fate" allowed by the heart?

I'll stop here. I'm atwork and really have to do that instead, and I'm not sure I really understand the rest correctly.

So as I understand it, the creation myth was drawn from a list of things MK offered to write in exchange for Sload's and Adanorcil's Sword-Meeting anolysis. Is that kicking around somewhere?

The Reaching came, where movements of dai progressed across islands of edible communication and food-forms could stockpile. One Reaching unravelled but the Coiling at its belly made a virtual star line, which made eating lucid. We slid to the imago and Named it cunningly. The waters obeyed and dead names took up their place in the random sequence. The first serpents returned to us in transmissions that answered the alphabet-virus which we then consumed at last. By the relative dai, we egg-named it and swallowed all source-information to preserve the virus and became immortal thereby. Past the star line, dead-talking continued.

Well, in this case, the races are now able to understand this new world and proliferate.

Reaching unraveled? It failed? Maybe it means the Convention? The virtual star line is the barrier? Because the waters (of Oblivion) obeyed and dead names took up their place? Fortifying the Wheel? Coiling, is that supposed to refer to a world or god?

I don't know what "we slid to the imago and Named it cunningly" means, at least how it's supposed to relate to mortal life starting in Tamriel.

The first serpents are the gods, I guess, but what's an alphabet-virus? Immortality?

Alphabet-virus: for the sake of maybe getting ideas rattled around in people's heads, I'll just say this:

Viruses infect and corrupt. They also multiply in what they infect and create more of what they are. As my dictionary tells me, computer viruses are sets of instructions that are harmful to whatever it infects and makes copies of itself...like a normal virus.

In pure MK lying-truth-telling BS, alphabets are NOT symbols that convey phonetic sounds; alphabets are the base elements or principles, as in branches of knowledge. I feel that in some way, at least some of us have felt that hinted at in our minds, though.

Like I said, just throwing that out there. And on a side note, imagos can be insects in the final advlt stage. I do this because I'm a lazy bastard and I want someoen to tell me the answer...heh....

On a side note, what is source-information? Random things like time and the Walkabout come to my mind.

946000: That's one way to view viruses. But, thanks to Albides, alphabet-virus may refer to a meme. Viruses (nucleic/digital/memetic) are essentially pieces of information that supplant itself into another in order to reproduce.

Transmissions from the first serpents sound familiar.

Source-information? I don't know yet.

Walkabout seems like dead-talking.
Scratch that. I don't know anymore.
