Tsaesci

Hmm. This goes against the truth completely, but it would also make sense to have the men as ancient bitter rivals that became the Tsaesci's helots due to their superior life-spans and military prowess. You could even have the humans look asian, sort of how Ra Gada culture is a mix of African and Middle Eastern culture. Heck, you could have a revolution that sends thousands of refugees to Tamriel from Akavir.

Of course since none of that is true, that horse is just a wish,...and a mod.

The Tsaesci relied on humans to support them in their invasion, and with the army at Pale Pall trapped, the snake-men didn't have the power to take over Tamriel.

This also makes me wonder if the Tsaesci view the men of Tamriel in the same way the men view the Tsaesci; after all, in Tamriel, there used to be Tsaeci, but the humans (and elves) killed them all. And the invasions of both Akavir and Tamriel were doomed by nature (rockslide and drought, respectively).

Wasn't cyrodiil ruled by a Tsaesci for a short period? If so then why aren't there more images of the snake people? I think you would know the basic physical characteristics of your leader pretty well.

This bugs me as well.

It could've been like a Big Brother style government. I don't know exactly how that would work in Tamriel, but who knows.

The first question was answered in this thread. The second question points tsaesci as serpentine, undoubtedly. Images? Well, you gotta ask Beth that why we didn't see one.

Aw...gee, thanks guys! :embarrass:

Besides, it's nothing that Kirkbride hasn't been telling us for awhile now, anyway, in his own demented, lateral way. In fact, the all-caps "IMMORTAL. VAMPIRE. SNAKE-MEN!" comes from him, not me.

So...yeah.

Too few people are imaginative enough. Keep it up.

Not only leader, but many Imperials were supposed to have Tsaesci blood in ther veins. It was even a thing to boast about, having a Akaviri family name.

Indeed. A snake-skeleton model wouldn't have been that hard to make, and could even have gone well with a limited set of "Akaviri fort" ruins so that its use wouldn't be limited to one quest.

*sighs*

Why is it always the skeletons? There was a spectral Imperial with Wes Johnson's accent-less voice wearing Blades armor.

Perhaps they weren't lazy, but simply did it so they can watch us argue.

Todd: Hahahahaha! Look at all these silly fans on the forums arguing about the Tsaesci skeletons that we didn't put in! I mock them with my derisive laughter.

*knock on his office door*

Todd: Come in!

*MK enters the room and closes the door, locking it quietly*

MK: Hello, Todd.

Todd: Hey, Michael, what's up?

MK: *silent* *advances slowly towards Todd*

Todd: Hey, what -- what are you doing? Michael?

MK: They'll never hear you ssssscream, Todd.

EDIT: See what I did there?

I suppose for the same reason that in China Djenghiz Khan, the Mongol leader who conquered most of China, was always pictured as if he was Chinese. People don't like it when they're ruled by an outsider, but being unable to change the regime they picture their leader as one of themselves so things don't seem as bad.
Also, most common people probably never got to see the emperor in person, and without internet or television certain details about his peculiar anatomy might not be common knowledge among the general public.

But still, Tsaesci and Cyrodillians are a tad more different than Mongols and Chinese, so this might be unlikely.

No, you see, that picture has legs which sorta defeats the whole purpose. All the evidence presented to us (such as mentions of them 'slithering') indicate that they were not bipedal. Not to mention that there is no evidence in the lore of them ever flying or breathing fire (though the wings could be leftover from evolution and the breathing fire be a metaphor for the way in which they do business). Still, I do not at all find that to be an adequate representation of the Akaviri and believe that you should try slightly harder next time to come up with a more accurate picture. I will give you this for trying though, since I know it's hard sometimes: :icecream:
You've thrown me off by saying this, had you or hadn't you heard of http://www.hrwiki.org/index.php/Trogdor?

It was Trogdor that burninated the Dunmer, not Azura!

He's also an IMMORTAL.VAMPIRE.SNAKEMAN too, I suppose?

You mean, he was a DRAGON-IMMORTAL.VAMPIRE.SNAKEMAN...

Or maybe he was just a dragon...

I've found that bringing Trogdor into any conversation immediately ruins everything. That being said:

BUT HE WAS STILL TROGDOOOOOOOOOOOOR!!!!!

I find it hard to believe that Tsaesci could be anything other than snake men. Why? There is a complete over abundance of references, both historical and mythological that represent the Tsaesci as snakes. Don't forget that the Akaviri invasion lasted long enough for their morphology to allow no room for error.
