Ka Po' Tun (Idea)

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 2:06 pm

I plan to make a Roleplay about the Ka Po' Tun Invading Tamriel.

It is said that after defeating the Tsaesci, the vampiric serpent race from Akavir, Ka Po' Tun plan to invade Tamriel.

Ka Po' Tun has recently defeated the Tsaesci, and now, stronger then ever, turn towards Tamriel.
With Cyrodil having the simplist terrain, and lacking an Emperor, they decide to start the attack there.
Sailing into Topal Bay, the Ka Po' Tun plan to take Leyawin and Bravil before heading upriver to strike the heart of the Empire.
The Imperial City.

Since i don't want to muck with previous History, this will be set in 4E13.
Although still without an Emporor, Cyrodil is semi stable under Ocato, with the war causing in-fighting among the Elder Council.
With Half of the council power hungry and desiring indefinite ruling power over the Empire, and the other half desperately seeking an Emperor, The Imperial Legion cannot successfully defend Cyrodil due to the division among the members of the Elder Council.
Limited help has come from the other provinces. The Elder Council has insisted in its contact with the other provinces that it is a minor issue and none of the troops sent by the other provinces are allowed to send letters back to their respective homelands.

The Empire is in trouble, and it's up to you to save it.
You can fight to hold back the enemy, work to reunite the Elder Council, or attempt to get word through to the other Provinces of Tamriel.
You may be an Imperial Solider, a Leyawin City Gaurd, a Citizen of any of the cities of Cyrodil, a member of the Mages, or Fighters Guilds, it's up to you.

Here's a bit of info on the http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Ka_Po%27_Tun

Feel free to post comments and suggestions here!

[ EDIT: I have included more information on the situation, and will continue to work on this until it is as good as it can be. ]

Tip:
Xerxes is a beast. He's the size of a Sload.
Don't use him, ever.

Some think they are related to Khajit although it is unknown, this could be interesting in the roleplay.

Looks flimsy at best. I'm pretty skeptic when it comes to people using elements already well known in the TES universe, but when you add such an unknown I think it is going to end up like one of those RPs where you have two people exchanging sentences for three pages until they figure out no one else is posting.

Senche Raht are qudraqedal, Khajiiti equivalent to horses

Cathay Raht are the Khajiit that are in Oblivion, do you think one of them could be seven foot tall, seven hundred pounds? unless it was seven foot wide I don't think so.

Even if that is true, most RP's have a little rule called 'No Ubering' RPing as a giant Jaguar-man who weighs well I'm not sure because the Imperial system is foolish and flawed, but still kinda uber

Your confusing the breeds, a Senche raht is basically a Khajiit elephant. There huge battle cats often rode into battle.

I believe Xerxes fits the Cathay-raht or just the average Cathay. :)

Why the hell not make an incredible hulk sized Khajiit. Both the Morrowind and Oblivion Khajiits are lore incorrect.
Also, my question about the RP is what era does it take place, and what condition is Tamriel in?

Yes but even though the Oblivion and Morrowind may be lore incorrect, it doesnt mean his is lore correct. he's using a breed of Khajiit which are noted for being around the size of two-three altmer in height, so about 12-14ft tall. He should be using Cathay or Cathay-Raht which are jaguar men and stant around 6-7ft. But even so. The character leaks law defficiences.

As for this RP. I dont think so, to weak. How would the Empire hear rumours of an impending invasion from a foreign continent unless they had spies over there? Which they dont because every attempt to invade/make contact results in them being eaten by the snakes. Then theres the nature of the KPT, you would need to make sure you would get it right or as close to right as possible given what little information we have about them, that would take alot of time in itself just to figure out. What will the KPT armies use as cavalry? Do they have horses? What will they use as Footment? Do they use swords or spears in that area? How about archers? do they have bows? How big are they? What armour do they wear? Heavily plated or light scales?

If you pull this off i will eat my head.

Ok, most of the people saying " NO IT WONT WORK" are giving me some very good constructive critisism.
So most of those no's, should be Yes, if changes were made.

So i'll work on my idea, tweaking it a bit, in this thread, and if i get ... I dunno, %60 - %70 people who like it, i'll make it.

DO you agree though, that if i DID make all these changes, it would be a good rp?

I Assumed from the information i found, that they are NOT all massive.
Tosh Raka is, the rest i imagined sort of a ... " Khajit Super Race "
A bit taller, and stronger than Khajit.

Tosh Raka is a Dragon, with Tiger like coloring, so HE has heavy scales etc. I would try not to bring him in to much, as it would take wayyyyyy too much to attempt to rp him, and many people would get annoyed.
Because that would be MAJOR ubering on my part.

Like, out of nowhere some dragon flies in and just single handedly destroys a city? Nope.

By the way sorry for my random swearing fit up there. I was tired and a little annoyed. I Apoligize.

Tastefull changes or no, its going to get alot to get the culture of the Ka'po'tun right, i would probably nitpick and scrutinize every detail just because i've read and re-read everything i can find on Akavir multiple times and through comparing the likeness of what we know about them to our own history (likewise with the known races/provinces of TES) i have come up with a pretty large picture of what the races of Akavir would generally be like.

So you know. Nitpicking

And i will try to correct it so there is as little nitpicking as possible.

Perhaps, either you could help me with this idea, or you could do it?

I would appreciate it if you had some things i could read to increase my knowledge of them.
I'm searching for some now but, any help you can give would be appreciated.

Well i was planning on something simular in the past, but as Immortal pointed out, if theres to many people selling things, they have to share the customers.

In other words, theres already SoS, an RP of a simular breed, and then the first crusade of sentinel or some such, a rip off of a simular breed. Then highrock is on the horrizon. These type of RP's tend to take alot of work so people might be reluctant to join more than one at the same time. In the end you might just be left with the people who go "Phwoar! Evil tiger people taking over the world, FTW, im making a giant Khajiit to kick their butts!"

As for weapons and armor they may use, they COULD use Dragonscale armor, as the Tsaesci killed the dragons, after conquering the Tsaesci they may discover these armors and scatter them throughout their army or use them for the higher ranking soldiers.

They could use the typical Akaviri weapons, as they would have the weapons of themselves, Tsaesci, (After conquering them) and they are allies with Tang Mo.

They would have the combined weapon knowledge of 3 races.

I think the KPT worship dragons, as they wish to become them.
