So, yeah. http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Tunneler. As far as Trog reskins go, these are probably my favourite. And I love how they come out of those holes- which I avoid like crazy.

But what are they? (I know the wiki says they're mutated from Hopeville residents who fled underground, but I can't find a single reference to back this up)

Is this a hollow Earth type thing, where the Mole People have lived underground since before recorded history, and were only alerted to our presence because of the Divide splitting open? Are they mutants? (Mutant whats, is what I'd like to know!)
