Turn off magic? HOW?!?!?!?!

Post » Thu Dec 08, 2011 7:16 pm

I know this has to be so simple and I'm freaking out over nothing... But how in the heck do i get magic out of my hands so i can punch something? I've been using Magelight and Candlelight while walking around and switching between that and my bow for combat. But now I want to punch someone for a brawl, and when i take my weapon off, i still have magic in my hands and i can't punch anyone like this and i don't know how to make it go away.. please help :(

Just go to the "Magic" Menu (or favorites if you favorited the spell) and click on it with the button you use it with I think as in Right hand = M1(R on 360) and Left hand = M2(L on 360). Sorry if I am incorrect on the PC parts, I am a console gamer and I am just assuming based on the normal buttons for every PC game I played.

Say I'm dual casting Firebolt, scroll to firebolt, hit Left Trigger to remove from left hand, Right trigger to remove from right. Just choose the spell you're already using and just de-activate it.

Go into your magic menu (or favorites if you have them there) and click any spells that are currently in your hands. This should de-equip them, just like any weapon. If it doesn't, then something's borked.

Equip a one-handed weapon and unequip it. This should clear your spells.

You have to use BOTH mouse buttons if you want to unequip both hands...

THIS is what i was missing. Thank you, this works. Just pressing "E" on each equipped spell doesn't work it just changes it's assignment.
