No matter how many threads like this are made, there will always be one that'll pop up.
Making one like this doesn't help either. ;)

They're everywhere! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6kmTNObny3k
(Replace the Aliens by Multiplayer-related threads and the Marines by the Mods. ;) )

In any case, this is the http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1154646-official-discussion-of-multiplayerco-op-in-skyrim/

NO. TES is the ultimate single player experience and I don't want that ruined by the addition of multilayer or by an Elder Scrolls MMO.

Multiplayer could work in The Elder Scrolls if and only if it was implemented the right way. It also has the potential to work as an MMO, or more specifically, a TES themed MMO could work in its own right. But I do not believe that the numbered series of TES should ever be made as a MMORPG.

No, it would ruin the series by taking away the single player immersion, and mods.

No thank you. The world has enough crappy mmo games. Last thing I need is an elder scrolls game in which I need to go kill 30 boars for their tusks. 30 guys with xXnerevarineXx variations for their name. Aside from fighting games, mmo games seem to have the least innovation of any genre. Still using the same basic recipe as EQ1. I want nothing to do with other humans when I play a TES game.

No, for a change I want a game that is all about me, what I want to do, when I want to do it, which is only posible in single player game. Not to mention mods. That's really all I need to say.

Only if it's limited to being in the Arena.

And you only log into the server when you select the option to compete online from a menu associated with the fight organiser.

I would love to be able to adventure in Skyrim with my friends and I think the main series could coexist with an MMO just fine. I don't get where the ridiculous aversion to multiplayer comes from.

I'll have you know i'm an asocial nerd! :stare:

Seriously, it comes from the fact that every Bethesda game has been Massive Single Player Offline RPG.
