Turning off radio freedom

Post » Mon Jan 11, 2016 5:47 am

I'm tired off constant kidnap/radiant quest's. Problem is my main base is at the castle, every time I go back to drop some gear off I get a mission. So if I disconnect the generators these soul crushingly tedious quest's stop? And will it cause any problems later on? Thanks.

My last character, I turned off radio freedom with no bad effects (though I didn't play very much longer with that character) but then every time I'd run into Preston, he'd say something like "We've been trying to reach you on the radio! Settlement such and such needs your help!" and there would come the load of quests again.

Ah good, off it goes then. I've also put the guy who was broadcasting in a nice blue dress and bowler hat for annoying me. That's why I moved from sanctuary, random quest's all the friggen time. Ggggrrrr.

If you look around the transmitter, you'll find a speaker switch, that'll just turn off the loudspeakers but leave the radio on.

I highly doubt that it really makes a difference. I got the attacks well before I even established the radio. Might stop the kidnappings at Abernathy's though.

Instead of going to the extreme of shutting off the generator you could walkways...you know...change the radio station on your pip or turn it off.
No tune in, no quest.
An easy solution.

my solution: just never go back to the Castle! Works like a champ!

Except when they get attacked.

And Preston, he is walking the beat on south end of my Island. if I want to help, I will go find him.
